ok i need a few questions answerd

im gonna be doing a NA?LS/Vtec

ok first i know i dont need to use the LS rods. can i use GSR or Type R rods with out having to change the crank.

Also if i do get forged rods for an LS, then can i run them on OEM pistons, i think you have to get them machined tho, cause the forged rod is wider.

and last, a shop around atl. that does good pNp with a decent turn around time.

You can use GSR Rods am not sure about type R

the reason i was asking was cause one of my good friends that knows his shit, said the GSR has a diffrent stroke, which if they are both 1.8s, and both 81mm bore, i would think they would have the same stroke but thats why im asking.

you cannot use GSR rods. The rod length are different and Im pretty sure you would smack the bottom on the cylinder walls. The LS blocks are so efficient because of the R/s ratio. LS rods arent a problem, its the rod bolts. Use the 8mm ARP bolts and have the rods shotpeened. I wouldnt use the CTR OEM pistons if i was you though. One, to high compression ratio, second valve clearance issues.

the B18B has a slightly longer stroke if I'm not mistaken. The B18A/B is 1834cc, where the B18C1/5 is 1797cc. B18A/B has 89mm stroke, while the B18C1/5 has 87.2mm stroke.
