trip to tokyo

looking to take a trip to japan about this time next year. just wondering if anyone has been there and what is the best place to stay for about a week that wouldnt cost an arm and a leg. also, best attractions and places to eat and stuff.

Ikebukoro is nice, lots of shopping and still 15 minutes from roppongi.
