Need someone to weld some small BS.

I chopped my shifter by a couple of inches and need someone to weld the threads back on. Here are a couple of pictures to illustrate what i am talking about... mspaint ftw.

If you can do it or know someone who can do it... Let me know.

I thought about doing that but the shift knob would sit down too low... Plus... I don't know if it makes a difference but the solid piece is about 2-3mm more thick than the threaded piece.
