My moms Crx is throwing Code 8 .. which is that tdc sensor right?? should that cause fuel cut at about 4000 Rpm? And Im assuming that I should probably change the Distributor which is the same part as the sensor?? sorry you guys Im no honda genious but my mom bought it.. And what would be an economical motor swap I kinda wanted to do a b18c5 but if a b16 is cheaper thats alright.. The d15b2 is just lame and Needs to go.. If anyone can help It would be very appreciated..

To the question about the code I'm not sure

but to the one about the motor swap

b18c5= about $4500
b16=$1200

depending on how much money you have is what you are going to get

an "ls"or b18a/b would be good for daily driving because of the torque you can find those for pretty cheap

but why would your mom want a swap anyway?

I'm pretty sure that's how much they are for OBD-0

Go check out hmotorsonline.com (http://www.hmotorsonline.com/), or passwordjdm.com (www.passwordjdm.com)

for the money the D15b vtec is a good vaule, decent performance and great economy and its cheap too, $450. it would be a good motor for daily driving for your mom.

dude a Rex is really light so yeah even a simple LS swap with a few bolt on's would def. haul ass

yeah you could even do a simple SOHC V-tec that would be way cheap and still give you a good pull cause of the lightness of the car
