and brasstown bald EATS brakes at least on my car, that mountain right after you go through helen is pretty good for beginners.

there are a lot of fun roads about 1:30 from athens, take the road from 441 to sky valley, cashiers, then back 64 to franklin, then you can cut over to brass, 129 area and come back down. i used to do a lot of driving in those areas and it was fun.
