alright. so this has to do with my engine again. but not degreasing it. thing i am wandering is about why it is smoking some out of the exhaust. this only happens or is truely noticable when i hit high RPM's in the car. no if i remember correctly it could be either the rear main seal, head gasket, or rings taht are causing the problem. what might it be? and is it even worth fixing? or is it just easier to get a new engine

more details. does it smoke always, at idle, only full throttle???
what color smoke?
and of course its worth fixing.!! unless u liek running a messed up motor.

does not smoke alwasy...only at full throttle/ high rpms' color of smoke from what i've been told is white.
damn yo. that could be a number of things. is it idling ok? as doubtful as this probably is, even if it was a head gasket, just buy a new one and bring it over here. ever since elise started driving, we seem to be getting really fast at replacing them.

if it was the rear main seal it would be leaking down on the exhaust and smoking from the front. Correct me if i am wrong.

its not a rear main seal and probably not a head gasket. if u take off the oil cap and theres a foamy, milkshake lookin shit in there then its a head gasket and if theres water in ur oil. in all seriousness i highly doubt it unless u have been overheating and all but u could just check that stuff and do comression test to tell. also do a leakdown test. and since ur doing that, if u hear the air coming through the oil then its probably rings. how many miles on the motor? does it do it when the engine is under high deceleration? and nobody can tell u what to do bc it depends on what u wanna do with the car weather u build the shit out of a motor or just put a stock one in

well, as far as i knwo i only know it does it at high acceleration not deceleration. i have 174k miles on my motor and ill probably end up just swapping but if not ill be building it.

thanks...u just kissin my ass now so ill check out ur car? lol
was the motor well taken car of? do a compression and a leakdown test and that will tell u how well the cylinders are sealing up and if u hear the air leaking out through something(oil/crankcase, out exhaust, out intake, bubbles in coolant) ull know where u leaking compression and if u hear it in ur oil then u know ur rings are bad or stuck or cylinder walls are messed up, etc etc etc. anyway i forgot what we were talking about here. blueish white=oil, white=coolant and gas=black. anyway, since i totally got off track here lol older motors are gonna burn oil, it just happens. on the contrary u should be putting in 2 quarts a week. im tired and im rambling now so i hope some of that helped u in some way. good luck
