everybody has their own opinions about insurance, but i'd say state farm. they will cover any mods on your vehicle as long as you have receipts to show how much it is worth & from what i've been told by other insurance companies, once you're with state farm, you'd be stupid to change companies because nobody can beat their coverage & prices.

state farm = a JOKE!

I remember when I wrecked the civic back in 03.... When they came to look at the car the appraiser dude said "hnmm , Interesting, Nitrous " 2 month later I get a letter in the Mail saying, They can't insure me anymore, due to having the car modified w/ illegal parts.
I can understand that part no big deal, But what gets me is the fact that when I got the car insured through them, I had to tell them the car " was a show vehicle " In fact I had to pay a little extra a month due to this. Oh well fuck 'm. I wish I can find one of my old State Farm delcaration pages along with the Letter I got from them.
I think they were pissed of because they had to cut me a check for 4900 bucks, well 4400... My deductible was $500.00

I have travelers insurance BY FAR better service then state farm and progressive and Can I say cheaper... yes by a mile.

state farm is by far the best insurance company, they do have some of the highest rates..I talk to people everyday that are like "if you bastards didnt pay as well as you do i would never deal with you" so apparently we provide shitty customer service but we pay out well.. lol. just dont get geico or any really small company. i have never heard of a satisfied geico customer..

I am W/ Farm Bureau and have found them to be the best only trick is you have to be 25 and a clean driving record

I Have State Farm And They Are The Best.. Did You Know That 3 Out Of Every 5 People On The Raod Are Insured By Them?? Well Its True.. Not Only For Their Excellent Customer Service, But Also Because Of Their Low Rates And Excellent Coverage...

State Farm Is Not For Everyone Though.. If You Dont Have A Good Driving Record Or Are Young They Will Be Very Expensive Or Not Cover You At All.

1 800 safe auto, pick up the fone the call is freeee!! play it safe!! safe auto!!!

seriously... if ur looking for something cheap I always get the cheapest quotes from them... ((but not good if yer lookin for coverage)) but this post might help some other people in the "Danger high insurance rate" age group.
My quotes: pure liability... bare ass minimum coverage though.
300zx Turbo = $79 down. 80$ month
Starion Turbo= 80$ Down, 71$ month

You may want to just insure your car for a certain value. For instance if your car is worth $3000, that's what they will pay if it's totalled, or stolen. So if your swap was another $3000. Then I would just ask to have the car insured for $6000. You'll pay a little more each month though. They might cover a few things if you have receipts, but if you have a $4000 car with $20000 in mods they will never pay $24K if it gets totalled.

Now that I think about it... depending on what kinda car and conditions and mialege, why waste money trying to insure your swap?

Maybe the stock motor might be more Pricey depending on miles and shit...??

Maybe so ?

Really? Hmm.. Glad to know I have state farm then. I was thinking about calling them to get mine insured for a certain value, since blue book is only like $3500.

just don't crash your car, They will fix it, But they will cut you after that, just like they did me.

I get the same thing with USAA. They even give me a discount % depending on my military rank and how long I've been in. Every accident I've had, USAA has covered it all and replaced my aftermarket parts. Nothing but good to say about USAA, didn't care much for State Farm when I used them years ago.
