It started as all go, kinda street/mtn set up, slowly evolved to all show. You can only get so many speeding tickets and threats of wreckless driving (which isnt REALLY wreckless if you are in complete control) before trophies make sense.
So yes and no.

Wow Julio, that is from Sign Guys last show M.O.G. after Nopi Y2K.

Yup, Blue pearl Si widebody, I had it w/ 17" Gold racing hart CP035s, (which I ended up painting gray later) it was on the ground, and all f'glass interior which included an enclosure w/ 8 12" eclipse subs. It was used as a demo car for Eclipse, and won SLAP Nats BOS and points about 5 years ago. It was in Meguiars booth Nopi 99, Weapon Rs 2000, Eclipse Audios in 01, Mothers in 02, and sold it prior to Nopi 03. It got around quite a bit.

I sold it to a dude named Will from Dacula, and he drove it alot, and kinda tore it up. I hate to hear it's been stolen, I always kinda hoped I'd get it back , rebuild it, and store it away.

Paul, I know it was very trashed, never a front bumper on it, box cracked and slid under the rear shelf, a messy engine bay, basically, everything I did good, was crapped on.....but his check cleared, so who cares.
Are your cell pics pre or post theft?
Ironically, I used to leave the keys in the ign, w/ the window down everywhere I went, never had the first prob....and this was when it was ahead of its time.

Didnt Yellow River do all the work to that car?

Allstar3.8T
09-08-2006, 03:41 PM
Yeah, Yellow river and my sweatin butt under thier supervision did it all pretty much. To have had 3 separate $7,000+ accidents ( one so bad it kinked the roof, not to mention the deer that ran into a rear quarter) and no cracks in the widebody says something, especially after 6 years....btw did I mention it was my daily driver?!!
I was hoping when I sold it dude would keep showin it, but oh well. Thats why I sold my Jetta out of state. Hurts a lil to see a nice car thrashed, especially when it was yours.
Old school Brett pic is cool, makes you appreciate the latest version even more!

DieselNuts
09-11-2006, 12:37 PM
Yeah, Yellow river and my sweatin butt under thier supervision did it all pretty much.
It seems to me that the only work that is worth a shit that comes out of Yellow River is on the cars that they sponser. I've seen a few jobs that came out of there that look like ass. I guess if your right there when they do it, they dont have a choice but to fix it...

Allstar3.8T

YRC is 100% warranted work, If it looks bad to the car owner they WILL fix any legit problem. Eddie and the crew bend over backwards to help fellow enthusiasts. Who does better custom work and warrantees it? If you know, let us know so we can refer people to them, because YRC is sick of ppl talkin crap who never spent a dime there, or **wont allow them the time to do it right the first time, quality takes time. My car was 6 months to do it fully, Jeff Gs redo has been 8 so far.
Not flaming you, but everyone says things, no one ever offers solutions, and no car in Atl can hang w/ YRCs/Jeff Gs civic....come by Polks booth and see at Nopi. After that tell me where we should take it to make it "better".

Kat, I remember your wide Si, it was the seconed best looking one I ever saw!! :P

body and paint work is a tough business. YRC has been around for a LONG time doing custom work so they have to be doing something right. i've had many bad experiences with bad body shops in the area ( 13 months down and they screwed up the electrical system somewhere) so i will never recommend a body shop to anyone. but i will say that the most consistent work over the past 10 years that i have seen is YRC

I never got to see that car in person. Greg you are one versitile person to go from the Si to the Jetta to a GN. All of them top notch work to :goodjob: I still wish i had bought the Jetta from you when it was for sale a while back. I wonder what the new owner has done with it, if anything has changed...
