Base coat all the way! Clear coat is over rated :lmfao: :taun: Nah, its actually going to be painted and cleared this time. I never cleared it before since I knew I'd eventully do the rear quarter panels. I'm using the House of Kolours frost blue clear. It'll give the car a very slight blue tint in the sun at the right angle. But will look white most of the time. Getting excited though, almost done with it. As soon as I get the window replaced that I broke lol :cheers:

I'll have some new pics tonight. Haven't had much time to work on it this weekend. I'm painting that '06 civic that's in one of the pics for a friend. So I've been trying to get that done and out of the way first. But I'll have pics of the car with the 1/4 panel off and the new one temporarily clamped on. And about the window, I had to order the pair from the J-mother land, but luckily I have a friend who bought a gtr that was wrecked and has a pair of windows in his shop. And since his car is months away from needing the windows installed, he went ahead and gave me his windows and is taking mine when they get here

Well tomorrow afternoon I'll have the new quarter panel actually mounted and spot wielded on so I'll have new pics for you guys. Expect both quarters to be on, molded and the car ready for paint by Saturday. I'm just as excited as you guys are to see the finished project :)

If its going, it will have to go unpainted. The thing that would keep me from going is if the quaters will done. I haven't even started the passenger side yet, and still have to spot weild the driver side on. Then there is still alot of bondo/body work to be done covering up the wields and seams. It'll be pushing it to go, but at the same time I don't want to rush the car for a drag race. So if it's done, then count me in. If not then we'll have a big varsity meet/reveal party :P

Yup, gotta grind the spot wields smooth so the panel will fit perfect. Once I wield the panel on, I have to grind those wields smooth also before molding them with bondo

Well I've pretty much changed since I posted that lol. I've driven the car ALOT since then, put about 20,000 Kilos on the car in past 6 months.




Oh ya, an update on Import showdown... As long as the weather holds out. I'll the car down there :goodjob: Primered front half and black rear half with bondo and sanding marks all over the car lol

I have to disagree I have driven a Cayman and a few other Porsches and I have to say the only time I have ever really felt like i was driving something special was at either mountian runs or track events otherwise normal everyday driving it feels like just another car no offense to johnny but thats just my :2cents:

The midnight purple is hella nice. But there is already 3 midnight purple GT-Rs around atlanta. Plus I love Mo's car too much to look like it ;) I found a color that I fell in love with, and it's not even Nissan paint :ninja: You'll see soon enough. I'm opening my pool in a week or so. As soon as I get the car painted, I'll host a big cook out / pool party. Everyone is invited :goodjob: It'll be the big unveiling party. When it gets closer to time, I'll post up the info and directions in this thread and in the events thread. So just giving you guys a heads up, so I expect to see everyone there. well lets see, besides the gts is rwd and the gtr is awd, the gtst is an rb25 single turbo the gtr is rb26 TT. The gtr is wider and longer, the gtr has black housing headlights and the gtst has chrome, the gtr has a taller spoiler, the gtr has adjustable coilovers, the gtr has an extra gear, the gtr guages go to 320 kilos while the gts goes to 180. The advantage of a show gt is I can go staggered wheels as opposed to the gtr being awd has to have the same offset all the way around. For what I want to do with the car I just couldn't see spending an extra 15g's for a true gtr when I can take a gts and make it look the way I want it to look.

and it's the R33 gt-r, I personally like the R33's better than R34's

lol sorry guys. my life got a little crazy, had a series of bad events all stack on top of each other. The still isn't painted, I have the paint, and the body work is 100% done, I just haven't had time to spray it yet. It is primered 1 color now, no more black quarters. I'll post some pics of it now, and hopefully I'll be able to spray it in the next few weeks. We've been putting up a shop in my back yard, and with all the work that's gone into the car I didn't want to spray it outside. but expect pics soon :)

Do you know where I can find a set of neons for it? Pepboys is too expensive. I'm thinking about putting red on the front and rear and blue on the 2 sides. As for vinyls I haven't decided yet. I want to keep it solid white, but I really like the one that was on the eclipse from thr 1st fast and furious so I might go with that one. Not sure how it will look with a white car though. Anyways, I appreciate the support and wish the other members of my fan club were as enthusiastic :goodjob:

I don't want big brake, stock dimensions is fine but I want slotted and cross-drilled rotors with carbon ceramic pads (preferably axxis or hawk)

Specs for the brakes:

'95 R33 GTS-T, RWD
4-piston front calibers, 2-piston rear

And I need them to already be in the states, Tophat HAD a set of front pads last I checked but I'm not sure if they do now, so that might be a good place to start. If you haven't taken the hint yet, I'm lazy and I don't feel like doing much of anything right now, even making phone calls for brake pads and rotors lol

Damn it, I hate it when I can't make up my mind...

As of right now, and I have no idea how long it will be until I change my mind AGAIN... but the Skyline is up for trade. I will trade is unpainted (primered white) as it sits right now needing new brake pads. Or I will paint it and replace the brake pads. It all depends on what you have to trade me or how much you're offering.

Rough estimate to judge trades/cash, I won't sell the car for under $20k as it sits right now or $23k with paint and brake pads. I don't care if you feel that is too high or whatever, but thats just how it is. I'm having no money problems, or whatever. I'm simply tired of the car and ready for a new project. Which means I won't be negociating price because if it doesn't sell then I will eventully start working on it again. I just don't want to see all my hard work sit there when someone could take the car and bring out it's true potential.

As for trades, I will consider ANY trade. However, if you have a slightly modded pep boys sponsored eg-civic, expect to fork over a hefty amount of cash with your car...

The skyline is 100% legal, registered, titled, tagged, insured, everything that goes with having a street legal imported car. I have the title to it in hand, clean and clear, no leins or anything.

Either PM me or post here if you're interested. I have my eyes set on buying either: RX8, Evo 9 or 8, G35 or a MKIV Supra. So if you have one of those, and are interested in trading please post here. If your car is worth more than I'm asking for the skyline (IE: Supra or heavily modded G35, etc) Then I will be willing to trade plus give you some cash to make up the difference. The car is alot of fun. But I'm getting to the age where I'm ready to start settling down, me and my girlfriend are getting alittle more serious and are about a month from moving into our new house. And I don't feel that I will be able to continue this project much longer.

Full GT-R widebody conversion (front bumper, N1 lip, Ju style CF hood, fenders, side skirts, rear quarter panels)
Brand new rear window and rear drive side(right side) window. Not sure why they are new *cough*
