I bought the car from the orginal owner who was using it as a daily driver until he got his 300zx running. I bought it from him, drove it for about 5,000 miles and then started the transformation. The car was originally silver green pearl and has just over 200,000 miles on the chasis. The motor was imported from Cardinal Performance in Newnan, Georgia. The motor has less than 40,000 miles on it and was originally mated to an automatic transmission. Once it arrived it was converted over to a manual but still uses the automatic ECU.
The car originally was SOHC so that means that the power steering didn't bolt right up. I went ahead and had the DOHC lines placed on the car, and the Power Steering Pumpe is on the motor. I have the resiovior that needs to be installed and the bolt that tightens the pivot to tighten the Power Steering belt needs to be replaced.
AC has been removed, the car will come with the AC pump and bracket, the lines and everything else is up to you.
I orginally bought this car as a project car and it sat in my garage for nearly a year as I peiced the parts together. However, my daily driver needed a new transmission and I had to pull the 240 out half way done and make it my daily driver. I drive it now everyday on the highway, regular road, stop and go traffic with no problems. It has a large radiator and two big fans to keep it cool in the summer heat.
The car drives fine with the clutch and no power steering. It's not the best ride in the world but is manigable if you've ever riden in a car with coil overs.
I have never taken this car to any sort of track day, drifting or drag. I barely hit boost in the car as it's mostly driven to and from work. This car is ready for someone to find a direction and either make it a full out drift/race car or finish it up and make it a nice daily driver.
Last, the car has a lot of character. The engine bay has been signed by my friends, and people that helped bring the car together. It can be painted over when the car is painted, probably cleaned off with some sort of marker cleaner, or just kept and added to. Depends how serious and what route you take with the car.
Things to fix:
Front window needs to be replaced.
Car needs some dents and dings pulled out along with a paint job.
FMIC is crooked, just needs to be played around with to straighten it up.
Other than that, the car is ready to go.
VIN can be sent upon request.
The only pictures I have are prior to the fmic install, but I will try and get some asap.
Best way to contact is by Private messages, or if you're really interested call my cell phone and leave a message, 678-772-9118.
