Ok, my post has dissappeared. This is for an Friend of mine who is selling his unfinnished project. This is an '88 or '89 (i already forgot) Nissan 240SX Hatch. It has 120k on the chassis. The car is an automatic and comes with; motor, tranny, wiring harness, ECU.
Bolted into the car right now is a VQ35de motor out of an Infinity G35.There are 20k on the powertrain. It has a 6-Speed tranny and comes with a wiring harness and ECU.
THIS CAR DOES NOT RUN! Pick-up will need to be arranged!
It is a good project car, and would make a great shop car. The powertrain form the G35 alone goes for $4k plus!
Here are some pictures.

Sorry, price is $5k OBO. Wiring is not completed, Starter, etc.. He has no time or resources anymore to finnish this car. And I think the motor is a little swole for the engine bay... custom hood?

I guess you didn't read the rules. You didn't meet them, so the post was deleted. No appologies, it's no big deal.

You did it almost right now, the pics and info are up.

You do still need to post the vin # and eng block # off of the z motor for the thread to stay open though.

You'll notice that is also in the rules if you want to take the time to read them.

Thanks and good luck with the sale.

you are gonna need a custom hood, or a new IM for the hood to close properly. Or you could just cut a hole in the stock one.

i guess he was trying to be unique.
its dEFINITELY unique, but doesnt come close to a rb26 swap imo..
im sure it'll prolly cost a couple more thuosand to get that thing up and running again.

by then.. you couldve gone with a 2jz or rb swap.

each to his/her own, that car is still badass.
gl with the sale.

yea, he did it because it hasnt been done. how many skyline or silvia swaps have you seen? why do you think they put a 2J in one?
im thinking twin-turbo VQ in a light little hatch, maybe some 10.5" wheels on the back, and a hella good drift?

I hear from the grape vine that the intake manifold doesn't fit and you would have to get a custom manifold made. Is this true?

SandM
08-31-2006, 09:03 AM
wait, intake manifold doesnt fit what?

lol... that tranny alone cost more than an SR swapped into it, after labor!

good choice for buyer, bad initiative by owner
