Hey, I have a private, self-funded IT-oriented business I run on my own, during off-hours. It's a nice tax write-off but I want to take it a step further. If you know IT (well, goddamit) and you know some security stuff, and have lots of contacts and good people skillZ and maybe some free time no your hands, hit me up. I am basically looking for "sales" type folks... someone who can line up some jobs, I'll do my own work. Help get the client and I'll give you 20%, period... straight commission... Most of the jobs I've recently done range from $3,000-$10,000 a pop, so 20% of that ain't bad, huh?

Anyway... hit me up if you've got interest or know someone who does.

Whoa man, what an odd coincidence. Another IA member, "annihilation" was looking for someone to implement a whole bunch of things into his business network. PM him i think he was going thru the yellow pages to find a IT firm.

i guess you should PM him

Contacts are nice - but my need goes slightly beyond that. I need someone who understands enough to get us "in the door" and I can work the rest. Successful closed deals are paid 10%-20%, based on success rate. Oveall, it's a pretty good way to earn a few extra thousand bucks.

What kind of IT are we talking about? I'm a network admin, I've been in the internet business/design/sales/marketing industry for about 5 years now.

I can set up wireless/wired networks, but I won't get behind the walls and set the wires behind there. PM me if you need someone like that.

Thats where the money is really at. Do a little labor work for something easy.

I did one job a few years ago and dropped 65 lan cables throughout an office building. Made $6,000 with $1000 to parts.

Then the second one was about $4000. For about 15 LAN drops and punching down to a patch panel. Parts were about $500.00

But I do good work, no bullshit or cutting corners.

It's not that I wouldn't mind doing it, it's just that I wouldn't be able to spackle the walls back up, and I doubt they'd want gashes all along their walls.
