help with e-brake handle

I've got an EG hatch....how in the hell do I get the ebrake handle off so I can swap it? I have tried everything I know and I dont see how to disconnect it. HELP!

On bimmers i know you just pull it off...helps to heat it up with a hair dryer or something... not sure about hondas tho... still looking.

just cut it off. hell if you arent reusing it, why not

you have to break it apart, by cutting it in 2....go by a Haynes mod manual and it tells you how to do alot of shit..:goodjob:
