I've noticed a haze or something forming on my hood. I've never waxed it with anything, only mild soap and water. Is there a good cleaner or waxer made for carbon fiber finishes? Thanks in advance.

you could try buffing it..dunnno if that will help or not..but just make sure when ever you put the buffing shit on there the hod is nice and cold...like i said though i dunno if that will help...

it came with some sort of clear on it. I've heard of people putting wax on their hood and it screwed it up so I ain't too keen on buffing it out or anything. I wonder if that Mothers Drill Ball with some plastic polish would work. Has anyone tried anything else?

did you buy it new?

All cf hoods come with resin on top, which may look like clear, but its not. It doesnt protect against the UV rays. If you dont clear coat a cf hood it will become hazy and faded.

thanks CB7 for the advice. I guess it can't hurt to try it. No one disagreed with you so it is worth a shot.
