IF it's true then Skins have Portis and Duckett... Duckett still loses this battle as he did with Dunn here in ATL.

its a smart move, norwood is very good, ashley lelie can teach jenkins and white how to be nfl receivers.

Lelie? haha. I just read the article on ESPN. He's hasn't practiced in quite a while. Racked up $378k in fines which is 14k a day for not showing up at training camp. He's always been a baby when it came to playing time. He had a chance to shine in Denver and he blew it. Falcons are dumb to give away Duckett if Dunn gets hurt.

I can't stand the Redskins and was really dissapointed to see him go. As a displaced Giants fan, I remember the tandem of Tiki/Dayne as Thunder and Lightning. That year they played amazing together forming a powerful backfield. I saw this much of the same thing in Atlanta and was looking foward to seeing some games in person to see how they were played together in the game. The small quick running back/ big powerful one is a great idea I think and breaking that up did not really provide any benefit to the team comraderie or to their rushing game.

Bettis and Parker last year... Dunn and Duckett did great as well. Shame to see him go. Falcons should have picked up Javon Walker in a trade and not Lelie.

^^^don't matter, one is an underachiever, the other coming off an acl injury (no player is the same the 1st yr back after snapping an acl)

not necessarily.....depends on how much time portis spends tackling and getting hurt as opposed to carrying the ball :lmao:

i think ducketts performance last year is bought him his ticket outta here...he couldnt break a tackle for shit last year, and he ran on his damn tippy toes LOL...i think Lelie will work out pretty good

I don't know about you guys, but I was at the preseason game when Norwood played. That guy is gonna be the truth. He has good size with good speed. I can see him becoming their number 1 RB in the next few years since Dunn has already passed his climax IMO. This is his 9th or 10th year. So... so long Duckett!!

When are we going to move Vick to WR and put Schwaub in QB. That would be a good combo...

Hate to say it, but I'm glad he got traded.. I loved Duckett, but he just wasn't producing when given the chance. Physically he is a beast, 260lbs of muscle, but he played like a fairy most of the time. Hardly ever played like a real power back, and to be honest, Atlanta's blocking scheme isn't setup for a power back, more of a quick cut back system. It'll work out best for both partys.

Also, I'm hearing that the Falcons are in the process of signing big Grady Jackson to fill in the GAPING hole at NT, so if that works out, thats 2 big holes in the team filled in 2 days. Hope so, cause we were gettin' flat run over the last 2 preseason games.

Who's Schwaub? :screwy: No offense to Schaub but people can't even get his name right... He's not even our best backup at this point in time from what I've seen THIS preseason... he is way too jumpy and is overthrowing the majority of our tall ass recievers. I still feel we should of traded Schaub during the offseason for a 1st rnd pick.... a 1st round pick for a backup QB is a helluva deal.

Thats twice you've said that in 2 different threads... what are you referring to? lmao. If your talkin' about all the people callin' for Schaub to replace Vick... it's simple, *pulls race card* there racist! lmao.. no other reason would you want a backup (a good backup, but still a backup) to replace the most ENTERTAINING (atleast everyone can agree that Vick is entertaining lmao) QB ever.

where do you see anybody getting restless?? succaneer fans are the ones that need to be restless, we just added a legitimate threat to our passing game, and after signing grady jackson, we will have THE most fearsome front 4 in football. oh yeah, and we still have d-hall, vick, dunn, crumpler, etc :D :goodjob:

Well I see it like this.... These 2 teams ( Atlanta Vicks & The Succaneers) get 2 chances to play each other in the regular season alone. You really dont think that these changes that Atlanta is making are going to show any type of immediate results do you? The most fearsome front 4 in football? :lmfao: :screwy: ... Watch out son cause the Caddy is coming through...

I'm really not sure what your laughing about at the "most fearsome front 4" in football... Dude on paper atleast, this defense is just about ALL probowlers. Patrick Kerney, Rod Coleman, and John Abraham... thats a helluva line, now you throw big ass Grady in there with them. Name a more talented front 4 in all of football. Thats a potention QB's nightmare, all that speed, and now the big anchor to hold it down. I'll take drivers statement one further, I think we have the best (on paper) defense in the entire NFL. Our only unproven positions are the right cornerback (but Jimmy Williams is definatly talented enough to put some heat on Hall) and our LOLB position... thats it. The rest of our D is completely stacked with talent, including Kerney, Hall (the best CB in football), Milloy, Brooking, Abraham, Coleman, and hell even Crocker is showing some huge hit tendancies... So ON PAPER we definatly have a very "fearsome" D, the only question is if they will put out what they are capable of doing.
