I think the people with pro equipment might have been there to tape some of the bikes for a short segment on Superbikes (tv show on speed). The probably taped the burnouts for possible use as stock footage later on.

I was thinking about heading down, but think the decision to go might have been wiser... given some of the burnouts?

Maybe you should go somewhere where there are already cops so that the misbehavers will either stay away or not act stupid.

Yeah, Scions are very very slow, and those that drive them seem to think that they are an extension of their balls (or compensation for the lack thereof). I think the Scion club was out in full force that night, as someone in one actually tried to pass me on the highway on my way home from the V. Of course I dropped it in 4th and didn't see him again, but still the very thought of someone attempting to pass my slow little Integra when doing well above the flow of traffic in the left lane...
