Anyone up for a mountain run this tomorrow? I know it's short notice, but I have noticed that the short notice groups tend to be better than the ones that are planned far out. Either way, let me know if anyone is interested. We would meet up around 9am out in front of the Home Depot on 400 by the outlet mall and go from there.

9am? Seriously - if you want to get out and enjoy before the roads get filled with people, start around 7:30am 'ish. I'm game (I think) if that sounds like a plan. I would have to be home some time in the early afternoon but it would still be fun to go for a ride, my ride just got detailed inside/out today... spent the better part of the afternoon on it and would love to show 'er off.

You would be correct. I do know some people up there, but didn't know anyone that evening, so I stood around for a little while and then left.

A few friends of mine are getting together around midnight on Sunday to drive north for a little less than an hour, and run up the mountain roads. The roads I have in mind, are west of the ones your talking about I beleive.

For those of you who've never been, it's about the closest thing to the touge you'll get to expereince on the east coast. Aside from the insane locations like the Tail of the Dragon.

Conditions: The road/roads we'll be driving, are fairly tight, twisty two lanes, bordered on either side by trees, and in some sections by cliffs. The "course" rewards lightweight cars, and skilled drivers with an almost seemingly surreal, and fast paced expereince. There are some long straights in between the mayhem, which also reward good gearing and power.

I'd love to make a video out of this and take some bad ass pictures. BUT I DO have a very big problem with people pushing too hard, and making things uncomfortable, or dangerous for the group as a whole. Its susposed to be fun, and you have the oppertunity to learn a lot about yourself, the way you drive, and your car.

Those interested, PM me.
