If you can get enough money I would go with Dezod or Zpi's turbo kit thats running in the low 12's. Also World Racing Descendant is making a turbo kit.. that if you wanted it to could get the tC to 500 whp. Check out this forum for other stuff... scionlife.com

I'd say compare that car to a Corolla XRS.

Scion TC has 3-doors, -FE (camry economy engine), and no real performance from factory. The car is becoming the new "me too" car and the build quality of a Scion TC feels cheap compared to a real Toyota.

The Corolla XRS has 4 doors, 6 speed 2ZZ-GE engine, some suspension work, 9k redline, it's a fast grocery-getter, daily, and isn't harsh on the gas mileage. It's quite the sleeper. Aftermarket is available if you know where to look, and If you're serious about the car, I know where to get the parts...let me know.

My car , the XRS, is slow, but the Scion TC, is way slower. You won't be happy with it.
