I want to know if its illegal to edit packets on a online game like a mmorpg to make like godly items and all? I'm thinking most likly it is. I'm not sure though anyone know?

Yes it is illegal to do so speically if it a high profile thing like WoW...you would also prolly get your account deleted for that also...

aw oh well. it's not WoW its a game called maple story =P if they deleted my account on maple story I wouldnt care either because I can hack my way back up to the high lvls again.

Well in that case you would prolly just be accused of cheating and run the risk of getting your account deleted...

hacking to me is alot better than playing legit. why spend months trying to get to a lvl in a week? this is imo its better than playing legit. i dont plan to eidit packets either

Editing packets isn't illegal... It's just frowned upon by the online gaming community as a whole. I played Maple Story for like I donno a day or 2 maybe. It got boring as shit and I have moved on to bigger and better things like... Shot-Online Golf MMORPG :D

I think unless you are selling the free online game you should be fine...since it is free the source code for it is prolly open anyway so you are good...
