How far/long can I drive with a broken stud?

You will be fine for a while. Dont drive to fast and make sure the others are torqued.

you can drive as long as on want one 1 broken lug nut, but get it replaced anyway

i wouldnt drive anywhere but straight to get it fixed. it can cause the others to loosen and cause alot of bigger problems. i know from experience.

Is the stud broken or is it just the lug nut? If it is just the nut, no prob. You can just screw another lug nut on. If it is the stud, don't wait. I would get it repaired ASAP. It is not recommended to drive with less than 80% of your lug nuts torqued on each wheel. Though it is rare for anything to happen; something could.

i have one broken on my truck, its been broken for two years now, done countless burn outs on my old tires w/ it, and still nothing, you should be good..unless your rocking 4lugs..o yea you are..get it fixed, i havent had experience w/ that, only 5 lugs here:yes:

ok see you you get this really strong plastic thing at the store, prolly wally world, it's called a zip tie...you still following me? ok then you take it put it through your rim and were the stud is suppossed to go, then you put the small end thru the sqaure looking end and pull it thru until you get it really really really tight sorta like how your pussy used to be back in the day...then bam! there ya go! instant problem fixed..:D or you could just take some duct tape to dat bitch!! :lmfao:

the part is maybe $2 and about 2 hours worth of work

Had a couple broke on the 240 when i got it


once u get the new stud thru somewhat put three washers on it and the throw the lug nut on there and tighten it till it is all the way seated

I raced for a whole season with a broken wheel stud... you'll be fine. =D

I finally replaced my studs after I broke another... lol.

i drove on 3 lug nuts for a couple years so it should be fine and its not expensive to put in a new one either i was jus lazy
