Look at these cute toys I found online for the dogs (the pictures really small I know- but it was the only one I found with all of the animals) these are Polar Fleece toys which can be a good alternative to canvas and rope toys

and this one's awesome too, its got Silent Squeak technology -people can't hear it squeaking! how cool!

^I think these are really cute, and they've got names like car speakers, kind of like sub, mids and tweaters, kind of :)

On a side note- has anyone tired using a seatbelt for you dog? I've purchased and gone through a few- but none have worked. I wanted to keep my dog safe in the car and keep him in one spot so the leather wouldn't get messed up too bad. The leather's been fine, but he's either wiggled or chewed his way through or out of the one's we've tried so far.

i have a beagle =)

somehow whenever i get him any kind of toy...he jus rips it apart...plastic,rope,stuffed animal...whatever it is he finds a way to tear it up...well at least its not the furniture ;)...so yea...he has more fun with the water bottles...no more cotton guts everywhere

^LOL!
we're watching a beagle for 3 weeks and he's been really good about playing with his/ our toys.
the three dogs tore a stuffed cat apart, but Otis (the beagle) brought with him a ball with fur on the outside, and a cotton stuffed inside with a sweaker- and it still in one piece! I can't believe it either.

Anyway- if the water bottles work that's great; but perhaps you could teach him not to play so rough with his toys, i.e. take it away when he looks like he's about to tear it to shreds and give it back to him a little later
dogs are really smart and he'll pick up on what you're trying to get across

Otis didn't tear this toy appart and when they started getting rough- I just took it away (its a stuffed palm tree with a rope around it and a sweaker inside)

plastic water bottles and coke bottles rule...my dogs totally destroy squeaky toys and stuffed animals in the first few hours...cool looking toys though...I taught both my dogs how to play frisbee and that is their thing now...I found some puncture resistant frisbee's and play with them every day after work...they enjoy it and it is really cool to watch them jump up in the air and catch them...

frisbee is such an awesome sport! Can you dogs catch it in the air? and what kind of dogs do you have?

yeh...they both can catch in the air...they get about 2 to 3 feet in the air at times...one is an Australian Shephard...the other is an American Bulldog/Great Dane mix...I taught them to either go after it like a ball being thrown or to sit and wait for me to throw it to them...only takes about 10 minutes to wear them out...

Flyball is a relay sport with 4 dogs.
The goal is to be the fastest team to go over the hurdles, retrieve a tennis ball and return to the handler.

Its awesome and great for dogs with lots of energy!

interesting...I have a friend that trains dogs as well as runs them on an obstacle course over in Norcross off Jimmy Carter...very cool to watch the dogs go thru the course with voice commands and such...
