So ... If i have a check for $8,000 that was given to me by a man who made the check out to himself, but indorsed the back, what is the easiest way to cash it! The bank already said no.. anyone have any ideas or advice

You won't be able to cash a check made out to someone else anywhere.

why did the bank say they wouldn't do it??? Thats where I would take it...

yea if he made it to himself chances are nobody will cash it for you.... but you may be able to deposit the check and once the funds are cleared you can pull the money back out...

check cashing places... if its the same situation... my mom had a check from her work, made out to her, but on the back signed it and then signed the back PAY TO THE ORDER OF wtih my name and signed again all in that littler area on the back to sign. and they let it... bank of america did also
