I work for Horizon Software. One of the things I have been working on is making this website for them. I've never done this before so bare with me. HTML is pretty basic but it was tough for me. Also the content is really bad but it’s a start. I need all the criticism that I can get. This will help me for the next release. Don’t be polite, give it to me!

Thanks in advance

You hit the nail on the head with that one. It was done in about 10 minutes per the request of the CEO. I didnt have time to get a background for it either. If you look carefully its a desktop from (Edited).com

I know that it needs more appeal, but please give me your input on how I may do so.

Looks good sofar, but all of the font is too small and WAY TOO LIGHT. Other than that, nothing wrong that I can see.

We bring American management methods and ideals in to train our employees to think with ...........................................^^^^... ..........................

should that say ideas???

Good question. Ideas and Ideals are two different words. Idea needs no explanation. Ideals means a principle or a way of behaving that is of a very high standard.

its not bad at all man, for that type of business it gets the message across.
If you wanna make it nice and graphic-ey dont waste your time in html/js/xml... go straight to flash, youll save time and the end product would look better.

But with this site, just work with the drop down navigation bar at top and this would be one solid ass site.

it needs work but isnt bad.

i dont like drop down menus that you can see thru, make them a solid color or alot more transparent. they look like they are a mistake as they sit. also the wording on alot of it is hokey.. example:
We consider our team members the company's most important asset. This is why we are so picky about choosing the right person for the job.

im just guessing there is a better term for choosing you employees then we are "picky"

your website for being a technology site that supposedly specializes in java lacks it, which is sad being as that is how the best sites are made. with how many companies are out there contracting to do work especially in atlanta you really need your site to stick out fromt he rest.

you should be able to click on the "hire us" sign to infact hire people. i know it was made quickly but still..

another cheesy wording:
Horizon's on-site project managers handle small, medium and large projects.

why not simplify it with "Horizon's on-site managers can handle projects of any size from "insert small job" to "large job" with ease."

eg:

Horizon's on-site managers are propperly staffed and more then capable of handeling projects of any size.
or
Horizon's on-site managers are able to adapt to projects of any size from personal webspace development to custom program development with ease.

so on.. so fourth..

anyhow good luck with it :)

Great feedback guys. I really appreciate it.
I wish I knew flash because I too feel that it would take the site to the next level.
And with the content... it was just a hodgepodge and needs loads of work. I’m going to use your suggestions spyder.
And as for the companies in Atlanta, well we are kind of one of them. I am currently working in Chengdu China for this company. This is where our development center is. The thing that differs us from a US IT company is our price structure. Where as Atlanta co's will charge you $50-250 per hour for an IT specialist, we offer them for $8-22 per hour due to the extremely low costs in China.

Thanks again for all your suggestions.
