ok im having a blond moment and i cant think of the right word for describing two oppisite things that go together..

like:
salt/pepper
ball/chain
foot/shoe

ya know that sorta thing.. i know there is a word for it.. HELP!!

antonym just means opposite... that doesn't mean they go together.

like the antonym for antonym is synonym... cause antonym means the opposite yet synonym means the same...

neither mean opposites that go together though.
