360. Sony wanted to infect your computer with a rootkit whe you bought one of their CDs, and now they want to make you pay for a sub-standard console for a jacked-up price. For the price of a PS3, you could go buy a 360 and a Wii.

I'm just gonna wait for the PS3...Who knows might end up being a pretty goo dsystem when it comes out....Had both a X-Box and a PS2 and ended up having the PS2 for about 3 years and the X-Box for a month or so...I haven't played the X-Box 360 though cause they haven't really put out any games that use it to it's full capabilities yet since the PS3 isn't out yet...I just say wait until the both are out and see what each can do and make your decision then...I never listen to others opinions becuase what one might like the other person might not

like I said I'll make my decision one good games for both sytems are out and I can see what both are actually capable of. probably be awhile though after te PS3 comes out though until we really start seeing the potential of them so price might come down by then but that doesn't really matter to me.

good games :thinking: 360 has everything sony has... all of the major titles are covered: COD II, HALO, FORZA, Morrowind, Madden, etc... we've already seen GTA titles come over now FF, so you have to remember microsoft can get anything they want. they are microsoft.

hardware + os + software wise 360 by far a better machine. the new profile setup w/ marketplace and online play is fucking great. you can't beat it for the price.

I've owned every system and the machine i'm most interested in at this point is Wii. But w/ the high price tag i dont' think many parents are going to be diving into a 600$ console w/o game/acces. sony should of came out w/ that platnium style PS2 package the did that was a home entertainment setup... if that came w/ PS3 for 600$ that would be worth it. :goodjob:

-The only FF that went to the 360 is XI which is a freakin MMORPG...no others have been annouced for the 360

sony doesn't have the online community here in the states that xbox has and it won't. they haven't been working on that or announcing anything to do w/ it; market place being one of the biggest points microsoft launched on.

as far as blu ray its a unproven selling media headed by sony. if it goes anything like the proprietary disc psp uses i don't think it will last long. and HP is supporting HD DVD which is running 15-90gb w/ a triple layer format ;) it will be interesting to see what takes off.

^ no i read they said they would have one w/o posting much details... supposeable its to have the same as xbox but even their website is very vaige on details... i'll believe it when i see it type thing. i'm not die hard xbox fan, i just play whats the hottest sys and xbox was cooler then ps2, and 360 definately owns both.... i wouldn't be opposed to buying a ps3 but i sure the hell ain't paying 600$ for console alone.

funny no one mentioned that with PS3 your online gaming is FREE except for a few optionsl upgrades, with one central portal to all the other game servers.

and the that PS3 Joystick is not only wireless but is the be able to detect movement of the entire joystick. it has six degrees of movement, roll, pitch and yaw,x,y,z.

and someone did mention the HD video.

and the "cell" chip that they keep raving about seems to be more like a PC with 7 dual preocessors working together, or even independently.

I will wait to see it all the make a call.

First microsoft makes the 360 sony makes the ps3. I know this because my wife works at micro soft. Dude if your going to buy one get the ps3 the 360 has way to many kinks in it still. We got the 15th 360 made and they still can't fix it.

I dotn think im gettin a ps3. just because they enverl ive up to what they say. with the ps2 they promised soo much extra things. harddrive which only worked with 1 game FF11, and the free online with sony was TERRIBLE, socom was the only playable PS2 online game. And they fucked up soo bad by not making GT4 online when it was first released. And theonly game i really look forward to on ps3 is GT5, and if that doesnt do anything different than the previous 4 GT's than its gonna be it. Whatever the PS3 does it will be behind microsoft, even if they do launch the online free with the voice in all games like they should have done with the ps2, it will take a year or so to get it workin right. Xbox live is almost perfect for online console gaming, and 50$ a year /5$ a month is reasonable if u cant afford that u shouldnt be buying 400$+ system. Im a xbox fanboy ill admit it, but thats only because both of my Ps2's broke for no reason i never moved it shit jsut stopped working. And after Xbox microsoft lived up to everything they said pretty much. ill probrably just get a Wii to sit aside my 360..:)

Wait until both systems are out and the specs are proven. Launch titles will make or break the PS3. As for power, 360 is a high end gaming computer. It may have 3 Pentium 4's, but the architecture of the Cell processor is very impressive. Everyone's arguing over price? I got my hands on 3 360's at launch. The two I put on Ebay went for $2,200 a pop. A buddy of mine sold one for $3k. Just goes to show that no matter how expensive something is there is always someone out there with more money than sense. As of now, 360 hasn't impressed me at all. None of it's exclusive titles are worth 2 shits and everything else on the console can be found elsewhere. Cold Planet: condition Zero and Gears of War are the only 2 games that have peaked my interest. Halo was amazing. Halo 2 added plasma swords and a shitty storyline. I wonder what Halo 3 will do?

One the ps3 is, to me, not worth the money at all. A core ps3 is $600 then add all of the other shit you are going to have to buy to do anything with it at all (ex. connector for online, memory units, etc...) Plus they just dropped down the processing power on it by around 33Mhz - 50Mhz (if I remember correctly). The only reason to buy a ps3 is to get a cheap blu-ray player (which might flop, seeing as the product yields for it are like 30% (AKA, 3 in 10 of the discs work)) The cell processor last I heard was also having crappy yeilds... so why are they even sticking with the cell processor?

also a large factor in how awesome the games are is the cd/dvd drives ability (speed wise) to read the disc. The "super amazing" games (that use most of the systems capabilities) are not being read fast enough by the cd/dvd drives... hence there is a limit on how awesome games can actually be...
