Ok so I'm coming back in town the week of NOPI, any good bars still open?
Something fairly close, dive barish, or atleast close to Atlanta.

the only place to get alcohol that is within 15min. of ATL. motor speedway is the gas station and applebees. I hope you already booked the hotel......theres only one......and it sucks.....

^^^ Easy tiger, it is not that bad. I used to live there. Granted, I hit the ground runnign on the first chance to move. I know of 12 bars in the area. They aren't what I'd consider, downtown level joints, but certainly passable if you take your own group. As far as hotels, there are another 12 within 15miles according to my web search.

Bare in mind the track is off 19/41 where the speedlimit is 55 and you can do 70. 15mins will take you 15miles in either which way and trust me Griffin and South Jonesboro have plenty places to drink/sleep.

Personally, I recommend taking the 20min hike and going to the pool bar in Fayetteville or Going to PTC and hitting up Taven on 74 (pretty good coverbands) or Matrinis (ok club)

Good info. I was just referring to what I saw about a month ago when I went down there. Me and my girl went down for the races at Atl motor spdway and I didnt want to drive back. the only hotel i could find that was right next to the track was a little past the track on the left(if your coming from the north)
