View Full Version : Misc I want to start a "punk" band.

Somehow i doubt this is going to work... but...

I'm looking for a drummer, guitarist, and bassist to start a band in the gwinnett area. I've only been playing guitar for about a year but I'd like to try and do rhythm and vocals. (I've played bass for 4+ years, so I'm decent on the guitar even without long term experience.)

I say "punk" because that's generally what i identify with but whatever comes out is fine with me as long as it sounds somewhat decent.

There would be no problem having practices at my house. I live over in lilburn off stone mountain highway (hwy 78).

What kinda punk are you wanting to get into? Some of my friends just broke up because their bassist quit.

ha i didnt know there were varying levels.

I'd play anything really as long as it has a somewhat edgy beat.

i could out-guitar the blink182 guitarist when i was 12. and ive been playing since i was 12. sad.

what do you like to play? I'm down for anything really as long as it's with some cool people. Can't say my guitar skills will keep up with my mouth but i'm pretty decent on bass.

well i dont have time to form a band so nevermind me. but i like just about everything as long as it sounds good haha. my favorite guitar player is stevie ray vaughn.

yeah that dude is a maniac.

I think i'm going for something 311ish more than anythng else. punk with a mix of ska and rock/metal.

who is your idea of hardcore? what do you play?

i used to play in hardcore bands, now i play in a metal/screamo band. we sound comparable to OLD underoath, as i lay dying, and darkest hour. honestly everyone says that we sound like those thrown in a blender and mixed up lol. ill post up the myspace as soon as the new vocal tracks go up. i go in to record em on the 26th so theyll be up later that day.
