The character "V" was a detainy in the detention camp that burnt to the ground. He gets the name "V" from the fact that he was prisoner number 5(Roman numeral "V"). Everyone he killed(The "voice of london guy", the coroner lady, etc) was involved in the experiments carried out at the detention center. The Three waters and saint mary's virul attacks that are mentioned later in the movie were supposedly carried out by terrorists, but were really carried out by the supreme chancellor. The experiments at the detention center were to find a cure to the virus so they could sweep in and save england at the last minute to gave public favor. The cure to the virus was V's blood.

Who in the movie comes back from the dead?

To explain the reason why there were people that had been killed in the final scene...

Remember the line at the end of the final fight scene when 'V' gets shot up real bad...

I dont remember the line perfectly, but something like 'bullets kill people, but not ideas...the people that had been killed through out the movie showed up as kind of a symbolic ness to make a point about the heros of 'war' that were killed in the name of the ideal that was defeated...

Who in the movie comes back from the dead?

If you watch as it pans through the crowd of people you will see all of the people that were killed by the death squads. Like the guy that helped the main chick that had the koran in his basement, and the lil girl that was caught wearing the mask...

Remember remember, the 5th of November

Did any of youse guys find the easter-egg of Natalie Portman's rap SNL skit on the DVD yet?

I actually havent bought the DVD yet...

There is something having to do with Nov 5th and the 1812 overture (the song classical that was played throughout the movie) or the composer that wrote it also, but I havent been able to find it or talk with my music history connection to ask the question.

Well, the little girl was shot during the cops "Theoretical outlook." Remember, when he finishes his theory the other cop asks if he thinks it will really happen and the guys says "It's just a feeling." So the little girl may or may not have been killed. Her getting shot symbolized the cops "Someone will do something stupid" theory. As for the TV show host and the lesbian couple, I'll have to go back and take a closer look.

Yeah a lot of symbolism, and what ifs in this movie. I still think it was a good movie kind of made you think about some of the conspiracy stuff you hear about what are governement might be doing, etc... better stop typing if I am a paranoid person, big brother might be listening, or in this case reading.

I haven't seen it yet, but from my understanding of Jesse watching it, Vendetta (also meaning revenge) was a lab experiement for the government long time ago and they screwed him over so he wanted to get revenge on the government. In a way he also symbolized Iraq. With him bringing fear to the government and the people of the US by blowing up the twin towers and reeking (sp?) fear on England, but he could also symbolize other things as well. Have to see for myself

they took a book from the 80's and tried to make it some kind of anti-Bush yarn. :gay:

I'm confused as to how V symbolizes Iraq. Iraq has been proven to have had nothing to do with 9/11. I guess you could say that the middle east in general parallels V, because we screw them over on a regular basis and it's coming back around, but not really Iraq.

It was a interesting movie. Do not want to watch it again, but for the one time watch it was decent. I give it 3 out of 5 stars.

"mr. Anderson" was neo. aka keanu reeves. your thinking Agent Smith.

Also yeah V wasnt symbolizing Iraq. Or Bush. The movie is based of a book in the early 80's. If anything the book is like a spin of the 1984 book.

Lol! She is so stupid..I loved how at the end she was like, "Wait! didnt they kill her???" HAhahahaha...stupidity is awesome!

(not saying you are!)

I love it when people try to paralell this movie with todays current political climate. saying, "If you lt George Bush run things this is what will happen." or "George Bush is trying the same thing with terrorists instead of a virus."
I just :lmfao: when somebody starts that rant. good times
