I want to take my girlfriend on a trip in the next month or so.... What is a good place to travel to in the fall. I don't want to leave the coutry and I want to stay on the east coast. I bet Savannah would be awesome this time of the year but we have already been there.
Thanks,
Brandon

Where in Florida? I have only been to Fort Walton beach and Panama City beach. I didn't like the 2 as far vacation goes.

my top places in the south:

New Orleans - always a classic and from what i was told the tourist areas are back open and really where affected (french quarter)... if you go down check out www.loft523.com (http://www.loft523.com/) nice hip hotel

Savannah - little taste of new orleans, small, but lots of pubs/entertainment to enjoy, closest place to get some good sea food + get to watch the ship port stay at golf/spa resort across the water (westin or hyatt  )

Gatlinburg - its beautiful drive through the mountains that time of year and you have red neck disney world next door Pigeon Forge w/ all the games you can think of. just rent a cabin, walk the shops, take the sky lift, etc...

Tampa - nice city much like atlanta with tons of shit to do. they have tons of clubs, shows, events, etc... Yobor(sp?) is a small part of downtown like our Atlantic Station has basically indoor/outdoor mall. beach is close; one of my favorite attractions is the Dali Museum St. Pete which i guess is a 20min drive from downtown Tampa.

Chattanooga - actually has some nice shit to check out. Aquarium is cool. They have a old train station that was converted into a hotel downtown. You can stay in the actually rail cars :goodjob: There is also a tons of shit in that downtown area, shops, Imax, museums, etc..

other options: Grove Park in NC (spa/golf resort), Biltmore Mansion, Nashville pretty cool town, etc...

Thanks Paul, all of those sound really nice. I will ask Michelle which one she likes and go from there. We were also thinking about Vegas since she has never been.

It will be hot as hell, but if your looking for entertainment, there is no substitute for Vegas...

Tampa wouldn't be bad. Ybor during the day is like Atlantic station, but its college party haven at night. Tons of clubs there. Hit up Busch Gardens for some theme park fun.

Not really looking for a party, but more of just quiet relaxation from the kids and the daily grind. It doesn't have to be a romantic getaway but that would be nice. We just never get a moment to relax... I mean never!! When we went to Savannah, we didn't relax much. We walked around in the humidity, but it was nice to see all the sites. I will do some detailed searches on all the place you guys have listed.

Thanks guys. We will be taking a trip real soon. We just have to plan around a few things.... Thanks again!! :goodjob:

Take her to Hilton head, or if she like getting down and dirty, take her caving in NC.

LOL!! Naw I don't think she would like caving... Hilton head sounds nice. When we went to Savannah, we almost went to Hilton head instead but didn't.

Thanks man, we were going to do a ghost tour in Savannah but it was way to humid to be outside taking a tour. Every tour we saw had no air conditioning in the tour buses. I will look up Charleston and see whats up.

I used to live in Charleston.... there is a lot more than a "little beach" :lmfao:

When are you going? Charleston is still pretty darn hot and humid well into the fall.

How about a nice Inn in the mountains? What kind of budget are you working with? Maybe Asheville?
