Cage played an arms dealer in his last movie and now he play's a hero in this movie. So he sold weapons to the enemy that attacked us in this one. Does that not sound odd?

How was the movie... The previews made it look freakin awesome and it brought back alot of memories from 9-11 once the preview came on a month or so ago everyone in the Theatre got quiet and was totally focused on what was on the screen. I most definately want to go see this movie so please let me know what you thought of it.

Well the thing that suck is that they took some of the clip that was shown on the news during sept 11.

Nich Cage has enough money in my opinion. Unless the earnings are going towards a memorial or the victims families I'm not going to support it. I'll catch it on DVD though.

Well the movie is more like 'we were soldiers' they focus more on the family members and how they feel. The exciting part is only at the beginning when the tower collapse.

Ya, it's acting.. lol... Anyways... I'm sure I'll see it eventually. From what I saw of the previews tho, Cage needs to go ahead and have his mustache permentanlty removed. looks horrible heh.

ok, i agree with that it might be to soon to make this movie, but thats like saying hollywood should have never made a wwII movie or vietnam movie or great depression movie etc....and i do think some of the proceds are going to the world trade center foundation...i hope to check this movie out soon..

I just saw it tonight. I'm with everyone when they say that it's too soon to make a 9/11 movie, but I do believe they took that in consideration while making this movie. When Titanic came out they showed clips of many people dieing left and right, but with this movie they held that part back and focused more on the main character and what he endured. This created more story line outside of ground zero with Cage's family and his buddys family. To be honest, the movie was JUST sad. It didn't quite give me that horrific feeling like I had on 9/11/01.

I don't want to ruin any parts of the movie, but if your expecting to see Cage as a hero that saves lives then you shouldn't get your hopes up. I won't go any further than that, so if you see the movie you will understand.

Also, if your planning on seeing it try to notice this angle..

Since the movie is about 9/11 then I'm sure the government had something to do with how the movie was written. One of the biggest things that stood out was advertisement for the Marines. When you catch on to this angle, notice every word he says and listen to the phrases that try to lure you into joining. Pathetic..

we saw it saturday night.. i loved it.. i cried throughout the whole thing.. but it was worth seeing.. what happened that day can never be changed.. i felt like this movie wasnt really about the situation in a whole rather than a tramatic story and struggle of two of the survivors that were pulled from the rubble... they never once mentioned bin laden or terriorsts.. it was more of just the story of these two men and their familes... so yea its only been 5 years but there is never going to be a perfect time to put out a movie that reflects how our lives changed that day.. i mean honestly.. i really think that people tend to forget that our country is at war.. and we have troops fighting for what they did to us!! i think all in all this movie makes you (or at least me) appreciate all the people who sacrificed their lives in hopes to save another.. its truely amazing.. thats what made me cry the most..

anywho.. its a tear jerker.. so girls i dont recommend wearing mascara.. but definitly worth the money to see.. if you are emotionaly ready..

LOL, its movies...make believe....he's not really a ny officer or an arms dealer, and he never switched faces with someone, and he never boosted cars for a living.

comparatively speaking 911 was just yesterday. Hell, the reminants and repercussions of it are shoved in our faces on a daily basis. It was a fucked up time in our nations history and they should have waited at least a few more years before they touched the subject... or at least until we were out of this war.

Maybe it bugs me more because i was in new york at the time and know people that were involved and killed (not implying anybody else here doesn't), but i am not at all cool with this movie coming out. Frankly, the thought of it makes me nauseous. I didn't go to see the last movie and i wont go to see this one either.

I understand that it did happen just 5 years ago, thats why i said it may be a little soon....But the guy earlier stated that hollywood shouldnt make money off such a terrible disaster. I was just stating that there has been other horrible things happen in are past that hollywood has made millions on. And many of the old war movies were produced relatively close to when the wars actually took place. Hollywood is going to make movies about any thing they want, and if you dont support their choices, dont watch them...
