DERRICK CARTER
(Ministry of Sound: Sessions, Classic Records, Blue Cucaracha, Chicago USA)
Born and raised in the western suburbs, Carter was into music from a young age, but during his teens Chicago's house scene sucked him in for good. Before long Carter became a strong presence in the city's underground dance scene. He got by working at dance-music specialty stores like Gramaphone and gigging at parties. Later he landed regular DJ stints at Shelter, Foxy's, and Smart Bar. Though he doesn't spin much locally anymore, when he does he attracts large crowds. His sets are rooted in house, but he freely travels outside club tastes, seamlessly incorporating old-school disco, soul, jazz, and whatever else catches his fancy. Most of the time he works in Europe, where he's become a minor celebrity among dance-music aficionados. Carter says that due to his growing notoriety his production talents have been requested by pop-oriented acts. But he prefers to remain underground. Although enthused about his own Blue Cucaracha label and a new UK-based imprint he runs called Classic, he's reluctant to offer much explanation of either label's MO--other than each releases records when the mood strikes him.

DOC MARTIN
(Sublevel Recordings, Los Angeles USA)
While most star DJ's are one-note musicians sticking to a single subgenera of music, Doc's live sets bring many styles of music as well as people together. In this age of specialized formats among DJ's and producers, what sets Martin apart from his peers is his ability to spin everything from deep house, acid, funk, tribal, and classics in a set, while having it all make sense. Doc is one of the most sought after DJs in America. Constantly touring, he can be found playing records everywhere from England to New Zealand, and everywhere in between. As the first West Coast DJ to ever hold many residencies in New York, as well as London, he continues to spread the gospel according to Doc.

DARIEN X
(Catalyst Records, Universal Vibe, Household Management, Los Angeles USA)
Darien X is a name known and respected throughout the WorldWide House Music Community. As one of the people credited with being a pioneer and originator of the "Atlanta Scene", Darien has been responsible for a lot of the things in Atlanta that club goers now simply just take for granted. Darien is famous for throwing some of the biggest events in Atlanta back in the heyday of the burgeoning "Party Scene". He was the first to bring in a myriad of acts to this city, including: The Chemical Brothers, The Crystal Method, Dee-Lite, Orbital, The Orb, Rabbit In The Moon, Ritchie Hawtin (Plastikman), Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak, Simply Jeff, Terry Mullan, Joeski & Onionz, King Brit, James Christian, The Hardkiss Brothers, and The Wicked Crew, as well as many, many, others. He did all of this while holding down residencies at world renowned clubs such as Velvet, The Masquerade, and The Chamber. Darien is also the main force behind Satellite Records choosing Atlanta as the city to open up its second ever storefront in. Now, living in Los Angeles since 2000, Darien still keeps it moving in the Southwest USA's House Music scene. He has held down residencies at some of L.A.'s most legendary clubs, from Garden Of Eden, to his current residency at Saints and Sinners, the hottest club on L.A.'s West Side. On top of almost non-stop dj gigs, Darien is also an accomplished producer, and this is where his true passion lies. Having collaborated with everyone from Wamdue, to Terry Mullan, to Dj Buck, as well as his new DownTempo project: The Stem Cell Research Orchestra, it is more likely than not that you have heard Darien's DNA on one of your favorite tracks. We could go on and on spewing Darien's long and storied resume, but its best if you just come out, welcome back, and hear for yourself, an Atlanta Legend, as he comes back to rock the city he helped build, again for the first time in over 6 years.
