A ship carrying 5000 Japanese cars headed for the West Coast goes under. The crew is alright and thankful to be alive. If you've got a car on special order, you just got pwned.

Unless you were buying an older Japanese import. In canada you can bring over cars that are 15 years old legally. So once they are in Canada you bring them here. Somebody did probably have some nice shit on that boat.

humorous replies

Nothing is good once it hits that sea water...just one big chunk of rust no matter how long it was in for...even the salt in the sand driving on a beach will destroy a car.

I've been trying to figure out the canadian loop hole for importing, i have some relatives that live up there and own property. :)

they said that the cars were not harmed, that they were tied down to the ship in compartments. The ship did not go down, just rolled on its side, so once they get it upright they are going to invesigate to see if the cars can be slavaged!

Well, I wasn't to far off about wanting a Mazda from it. Apparently it was a shipment of about 4,700 new mazdas. about 60% were Mazda 3's and about 30% were mazda CX-7's.

I'll take a salvage CX-7 for $2,000 please :D

It was 4,999 2007 Skyline GT-R's and one Spoon Fit.Nissan will accomodate the loss by making the interiors of their cars even worse than they are now.
