depends if you'll ever adjust the height with the coilovers? will you slam it for shows and raise it back up for daily driving? can you get the desired drop with good spring and shocks?
when i had my coilovers, i set the height and never adjusted it. i could have saved me some $ if i had just bought the appropriate springs and struts for my application

correct me if im wrong but ive found that coils ride alot stiffer than springs. So in my opinion if you really dont need the adjustment, springs are a better ride and money saver

true that, its all in what one is going to do. I know most people that get coils never use them right, they just put them on and ride around the block...

Well if you buy coils and put them on to lower your car one time only, and drive never changing the height for any reason you wasted you money and didnt use them for what there for.. people could just buy springs and get the same thing on there car... I understand if your application needs coils to achieve the proper height but most can go with springs to get this..

and i dont think there are any springs out there that get your car as low as you might want anyway.

There are alot of springs out to achieve proper height on many cars or you just referring to outlaws car alone.

Ok understand what you said,,, In other words he may have to go with coils, i know id much rather have springs if you can live with the height...

yeah i cant stand fender gap, i like my car to sit on the tires, and i tried eibach springs and they didnt get them near as low as i like it, so i got coilovers

Do you have a kit installed you will have to keep that in mind as well. If you dont have one and may install one later. You will diffently want coils in the case you need to lift for the kit...

But as far as the civic my bro has springs, cant remember which kind but his is so low he had to roll his fenders to keep off the tire. But it looks great...And has a very nice feel..
