I was just wondering if any of you guys are into the classic muscle as well as the import scene. I just finally moved to the Atlanta area and was wondering if there are others who know about or regularly attend classic car shows. I drive an import and a classic and often find myself refereeing the rice vs. muscle arguments that dedicated car nuts have. Most people on one side or the other have such one track minds you can't get a mutual respect.

Love the Plymouth man...and the 65 Chevelle...we used to have a 65 Chevelle SS Convt. I'll put up a pic of it...I have a 1968 Camaro RS and a 1970 Chevelle Malibu...The camaro I have almost back together and the chevelle I'm just starting on...but this is what the camaro used to look like...I'm not into imports at all...I'm on here cause there are some cool people and our club forum...I respect the import side just because I know what it takes to build a car!...anyways nice chevelle really like it!..post more pics if u have them!

The original question posed was to whether any body knew of any classic car shows in the ATL area that they were planning to attend (guess I worded it badly)..... seemed like the most approproate place. Move as necessary.

YearOne has good car shows almost ever 2 or 3 weeks. you can go to yearone.com or drive up to Braselton GA on saturdays. Take 85 North to exit 129, make a right, you'll see all the cars on your right. At 9 pm they all drive up to Commerce to drag race. Commerce will be closed at 9pm to the public. It'll only be open to Year One Attendees.

61 vette, white with red interior and big ass motor in it, it scoots along nicely :)
I got a 68 Firebird Convertible with a 4-Speed 350cu. out of a 69 Camaro. Teal w/ White Top. It was originally an automatic but was swapped. :goodjob:
It's in dire need of restoration but the body is straight. The Datsun is my prime restoration project now, so the Firebird is for sale. $3000 takes it if anyone wants it. lol

I've got my MazdaSpeed MX-5 for a DD and a 1980 RX-7 with a sbf (well it's not in it right now...I'm trying to find another engine) It wieghs less than 2000 lbs without the engine so it'll go fairly quick with 400hp ;)

1971 Plymouth Barracuda ( NOT A CUDA ) that I put in a 400 w/440 - but yeah what they said
Year One is the main show of all shows in GA - about 400+ cars show up every month during the summer show season - up in Braselton GA
as for beign one sided - both have their plus and minuses, but you can't beat the overall badass factor of classic muscle. I say this. Respect your elders, they laid the way :)

Deffinately in to imports and domestics (classics and late models) myself. I've owned a few domestic muscle cars, and I regret selling every one.
My next project after the rb26 240 will be a 67-69 camaro. Its been a long time waiting and I wont be putting it off any longer!
I hate how so many people can't be open minded to imports and domestics.

I used to be an import hating 16 year old but I've gotten past that, speed has no nationality. I'd rock a V8 over any high-strung turbocharged import motor in a heartbeat but with gas prices its just not that viable.
Here are some more pics of the Fury III:

Its no show car but my grandpa's the original owner so its fun to keep around. It seems like anybody 40+ had or knew somebody who had a Fury but nobody kept them around.

I started with hot rods and drag racing, and then switched to imports and road racing/drifting interest.
I will still build a bad ass Fuel injected Turbo domestic one day.
I had a 79' WS6 4spd T/A Black and gold (12.30's on radial tires, and pump gas)
96' SS S-10 (2" drop and some bells and whistles)
75' Ventura 11 second street car (N/A pump gas)
70' C-10 truck 15 second daily driver/tow-truck (350/TH350)
89' RS camaro 5spd Black w/ black wheels (looked hot)
I think I want a 1969 long bed chevy one day to make a custom rodder out of
