Hell yeah I would buy one, but i'd be a little worried about the upkeep for a car nobody is familiar with.

Lotus Elise? I think they took a Lotus Elise, made carbon body panels and put their drivetrain in it. I couldn't tell much of a difference by the video. It's an interesting car for sure. If they can figure out an efficient way of recharging and allowing for longer ranges I'm sure full electric vehicles can become a legitimate option to internal cumbustion vehicles.

Could you imagine the price of replacing the battery pack after 100,000 miles?

18. I would save your $$$ and buy the Lotus Elise... You can buy 2-3 for price of that car; plus the Lotus looks better. ;)

^ my post... of course a woman would ask this \/

20. This car is awesome! I would buy one tomorrow but I also question the life of the battery, cost to recharge, and how often it has to be replaced. With a product like this I wonder how long the major auto mfg will stay in business. Just hope they do not quash this great car. When will it be affordable?

bitch you can get the samething for 1/3 of the price :screwy:

ok so let me get this straight, you pay more for electric than for a conventional car, to save money on gas? or is it to hike your electricity bill? because the energy has to come from somewhere, no emmisions from the car, but the coal burning power plant that shovels electricity to your house is pumping out the difference. :screwy: whatever. i'll stick to the lotus as well,
