all the details are on the site.

pretty much to sum it up. michael bloomberg is blaming the gun crimes in new york on gun dealers in the southeast. As far as the facts on my fathers store... we sold 45,000 guns from 94-01. 21 guns made their way to NY and were involved in crimes. the guns took an average of 3 1/2 years to make their way to NY. In other words.. you buy a gun legally.. you have it at your hours for 3 years... and some asshole breaks in and steals it.. sells it on the blackmarket... it gets used in a crime.. and its the store it was originally bought froms' fault. They originally sued the gun manufacturers.. which failed.. they then sued the distributors.. which failed.. now they are sueing the dealers.. which will also fail, although it will be very costly. you notice how he isnt sueing the major big box stores like bass pro or walmart/kmart.. because he knows they have deep pockets. He is sueing dealers like my dad because he figures that we will fold because we cant afford to spend millions in lawyers.

so fold..cuz u can't afford to spend millions in partners....or call walmart to help u out....

PawnShopCEO

and the donations cant be tax deductible.. because we arent a non-profit organization. the money is used for legal defense of all these gun dealers that are being frivilously sued.

yeah man.. its a bunch of bullshit... but its very expensive to fight for our rights, when you are fighting michael bloomberg who is just doing this for a political agenda to be the gov of NY.

PawnShopCEO
07-20-2006, 07:30 AM
yep... the reason this is gonna be expensive is because there is no case-law for this situation. its obvious that bloomberg is WAYY out of his jurisdiction coming to atlanta, but its all undiscovered grounds... no mayor has done this before. another interesting thing.. if you follow the link off the website. bloomberg had his guys photographing, arresting, and seizing cars that went across state lines to buy FIREWORKS for 4th of july. what a nut!

Sounds like Peachtree City Cops . . .

The legal system in this country never surprises me with the bullshit people send through it. Do you have documentation of those guns being stolen?

we have no idea how the guns made their way to new york. everything at our store is done 100% legit. we do a complete inventory every year and report all missing/stolen weapons. we have 3 people check all paperwork to make sure every i is dotted and every t crossed. Of course EVERY weapon that is purchased at our store a federal background check is required before the customer receives the weapon. Every gun sale of ours is also accompanied with a FREE gun lock. we are huge advocates for gun safety

What I don't understand is that all 21 guns that made it to NY were stolen guns? How do you or whoever know this? Later, QD.

nobody knows how they made it to new york, thats my point. he made all these statements like the blood of the murdered people is on OUR hands. he has no idea how they made it to new york. we have paperwork on every single gun that leaves the store. we do everythin g100% legit and comply with the ATF 110%

I've bought guns from youre dads shop and I will continue to in the future. You are absloutely right three people check the paper work before you leave. Its a pain in the ass but hey if keeps guns from getting in the wrong peoples hands then great.

Hey if you guys win the 400 million dollar lawsuit you think I could get a Armalite 50 cal on the house.

Thanks

he is picking on the mom n pop gun dealers with this lawsuit in order to attempt to run them out of business. most small shops cant afford to fight. fortuneatly we can.

Michael Bloomberg and the city of New York as of today have dropped the lawsuit against 15 gun dealers in the southeast! big win for us! looks like bloomberg may be locked up over this too. It seems apparent that the feds dont like it when a mayor directs his people to commit felonies.
