for some reason I like to redo hondas and acuras
this one is a 96 GSR I bought as a shell about 8 months ago
New carpet (black) (OEM Acura)
99 GSR leather interior (dark grey) (front and rear seats and steering wheel)
Newly rebuilt B18C1 (prof. built by K&B machine)
GSR tranny with 45K miles on it
New paint
New brakes and suspension
New axles, shift linkage, bushings etc...
18" Konig Imagines with 215-35-18s
This picture was taken before the windshield, moldings and corner lights were installed
Also have a OEM type r wing for it not installed in the pics...
I will post before and after pictures in a few days... These are kinda in between pics.... these are kinda dark but you get the point also the heat shield is actually High temp grey it just looks blue in the pic...

Was it a clean titled shell? Just curious if you had to get an inspection or how you did it.

nope.. It was 100% clean, never in a wreck... Believe it or not a guy bought this car just to strip it to put it all in a civic... I jumped all over this one because (1) its a GSR 2 door (2) it had a clean title and (3) it hasn't been wrecked.... It was a win win situation

If i could do it all over again i'd strip an '94 RS down to the unibody, lighten it any way possible without messing up the rigidity, paint and insulate it, then full interior with full cage :)

I did exactly that with a RS I bought about a year or so ago.. But we also did a RHD conversion and all type r stuff at the same time... big 4 lug brakes and wheels (97 type r with 4x114.3 lug pattern) Painted it championship white (car and wheels). turned out to be a nice car when it was done..It was for a friend of mine though, not my car. What we actually did was bought the 95 RS shell for a guy and had a wrecked 97 JDM type r and we just swapped everything over and added tein suspension and nice exhaust etc.... Turned out really well.. There wasn't one bolt on that car that wasn't touched...

Who does your paint?

I still have people argue with me about the 96-97 ITR's not being 4 lug *shakes head*

You know I can't recommend a painter because they are so damn undependable... I will take a car to someone and they will do a great job, take another one to the same person and it will look like a $99.00 paint job. We actually do alot of it ourself. I will trim out the car and get it ready to paint. When I say that I mean take off all the moldings and front bumper, rear bumper etc... Im VERY funny about stuff, so I've learned that the more I can do the less I will be disappointed... I took one of my cars to a painter, the car had never had any paint work done to it. It came back and all the moldings were painted to the car. I didn't go to work the next day I was so pissed..
