Converting a car to EFI

Was wondering if Im on the right track as far as understanding. Ive never dealt with a non-efi motor, so bear with me if I get some thing wrong. This engine has fuel distributor and a intake temp sensor to regulate fuel. I am planning to convert it to EFI with the following parts:

-Haltech E6K
-Eliminate the fuel distributor with a single fuel line to a custom fuel rail.
-Fuel pressure regulator

Is that it?

I have done this sort of conversion before, and yeah, you're on the right track, all you need to do is replace the mecanical injectors and feed lines and install regular electronic injectors with a normal fuel rail and with the Haltech you'll be able to control it all. Now, you have to be careful with how you trigger the haltech, since this is a K, its got a good input trigger since you have to make sure that enigne is properly compatible with it. For example, if this engine has a 60-2 (motronic styled) trigger in either the flywheel or a crank pully sensor unless that haltech was setup for that type it wont work. But, if this engine has a distributor with a single tooth for each event (ie. 4 cylinder has 4 teeth) then it would be easy to do.

I'm pretty sure that the K can read off of flywheel/flexplate. But don't take my word for it make sure.

Make sure that the fuel pump is up to snuff. And I don't know much about that Benz motor but is it a return style fuel system? Or is it returnless?

It would be cool if you were able to interface it to make it control spark also, but I think that would be a nightmare.
