I own an 84' 944. I never brought it down from Ohio its pretty much collecting dust at my parent's house in Ohio. Its has a front engine, rear mounted transaxel and boast a whopping 150hp/150tq. The motor is huge, inefficient, interference prone, 2.5L 4cyl and won't rev for shit. It doesn't sound anything special and is actually heavy and bigger than any other 4 cylinder engine I have worked with or owned. The motor is bigger than an LS1 and probably about the size of an RB26 or 2JZGTE but slanted so it takes up the whole engine bay. The aftermarket for the turbo variant is lame and it costs as much money to make 500whp with that as it would cost me to make 800-1200rwhp with a vette or supra. So I decided to just take the piece of shit out and sell it to some Porsche purist.

This is the motor below.

I am really thinking about dropping a Lexus V8 in it and having fun with it again. Heres a link with a 951/944 with the swap.

Thats that is the GS400 motor. I'm not supercharging anything. It'd be easier to turbocharge it and get 550rwhp than it would be to supercharge it. Easier financially speaking.
