clutch engagement

I own a 1989 325i with 180k miles....

here is my story...


so i was driving along minding my own buisness when suddenly my clutch gets reallllly stiff and engages after about an inch of being pressed... the clutch is still pullling strong with no slipping or anything... i was just wondering what would cause my engement point to change from 5 inches of pedal to 1 inch...

More than likely it sounds as if the pedal adjuster got lose and moved on you, but that is odd. It got stiffer too? Makes me think something happened to your TO bearing, possibly chaging the at-rest position of the clutch lever? IDK

well the clutch died a week ago so I get to replace all the normal kit that that involves... we will see how that goes....
