For those that think RB20's are gay, here's a nice little dyno chart of a RB20 of one of our customers, never been opened up, running 14 psi on stock nissan t3 with a small fmic making 368hp/369tq to the wheels, its a monster.

It's a stock Nissan Z31 turbo, not a rb20. Has a procharger FMIC, so short piping very efficient. He dynoed over a ProSpeed in front of Mainstream, and know the Mainstream guys, he says they couldn't believe it either.

Dyno's don't lie, and why wouldn't anyone fake a dyno like this? He said it was breaking up. But he's gonna redyno next week.

rb20 is roughly 60lbs heavier than a stock ka. once u put a turbo and intercooler and other shit on the ka it will probably weight the same as the rb20. so ka-t is also a boat anchor.

This one was running 12psi, and on the stock 270cc injectors and a small 7mgte intercooler. Would have made 350 with a proper front mount setup. No lying on this one either, guess where we tuned it at? Mainstream.

Bobby's AF's spiked at 14 for a second right when the nitrous hits, then went right back down to 12. Now this 50 shot is sprayed right into the Air filter so it still travels through the intake through the hot pipe, intercooler, cold pipe, the horrendous RB20 intake manifold into the combustion chambers. Also he's still running the stock 270's, and no fuel controller, yes not bright, but it works.

1) we were NOT amazed, Charles happened to be down AT PROSPEED when the car dynoed picking up something, and Jeff is the one that told him the car an what it had.

2) bobby came over to Mainstream to ask about intercoolerpipingin, i gave him a price an he left, none of us care what his car made at PROSPEED, so we werent AMAZED

3) He was spraying WAY more than a 50 shot, so if he really is a customer of yours, i suggest you find out the truth before you make yourself look even worse.

4) If you honestly think that KAs and RBs are so much better, please, tell me why every RB that comes over here make 220whp IF ITS LUCKY. Not your cars, just in general, i think you need to do more research before we say "sr20s are gay" especiually in a few min when i post one of our customer SRs graph. never seen an RB20 come close to his numbers, even with a 150shot ;)

For those that think RB20's are gay, here's a nice little dyno chart of a RB20 of one of our customers, never been opened up, running 14 psi on stock nissan t3 with a small fmic making 368hp/369tq to the wheels, its a monster.



Still has a stock maf, kinda breaks up a little but a Z32's going in.

to me that means STOCK, the fact taht they left out that a big shot of nitrous was used in addition to that graph is proof that is bullshit. Im not questioning the numbers, but it was done with a BIG SHOT of nitrous. I can get Jeff from PROSPEED on here to back all this up, hes 20ft away from our shop.

You can make more whp with a stock 2j motorset than you can with a built KA!! WHat's the record for a built turbo KA??? And it's still a daily driver and not a dyno queen. The KA trans won't hold up after 375whp if it hooks. Already proven..

Is one not allowed to their own opinion, stock KA-T's are a good bang for the buck, until they go bang, built KA-T's I believe are better than built SR's, SR's have been in the performance market for a long time now, and KA-T's ave just been coming around, KA-T's are starting to make big power. Take your base cost of your stock SR redtop 2.5k for a decent motorset, then your big money in EMS, and turbo setup, to make 450hp. Take that 2k you put into your SR motorset pull your KA, build it, rods, pistons, rebuild, and put the same turbo setup on it. You have a old used redtop making 450 could go any day, it used, don't know how much fun the last guy had with it. Take that fully rebuilt, new KA pull 450 out of it, but you have the head room for alot more than 450, and 450 barely even pushes a built ka-t.

So in parts you have the same cost but a new built motor on one hand. All of the prices are only parts, saying you do all of the labor yourself. Built KA-T's the better option.

First of all, you are the one that chooses the ka and that is your preference. IMO the ka in STOCK FORM doesn't even hold a candle to the sr. Stock sr 1800-2500$ will produce 473 whp, ka's not even close even with an ems and every bolt on you want to put on it. With cams, springs and retainers Enthalpy holds the record with 569 on stock bottom end. I will agree that the FULLY BUILT KA has produced more whp than any sr out there. But when you break the 375whp threshold on ka or sr you run into drivetrain issues with breaking transmissions. MOST REGULAR CUSTOMERS do not want to do what is necessary to make the sr/ka able to put that power to the ground unless they have a large supply of stock ka/sr/rb20 trans.

Take that 2k and put it into the motor??? If you build a ka alot more moey is involved than just the build. You have to buy multiple piggy backs, or a stand alone, turbo, manifolds, ect to make more power than a stock bottom end stock cam sr. Why don't post a price of how much it will take for your shop to fully build a Ka and make 450 whp. And I will post a price of making 450whp with and sr excluding the tranny upgrade to make it useable power at the track and not a dyno queen.

Just to clear some things up.. My car made 241 Hp and 265 Tq with 12 Psi and a SMIC.. A/F was off the Chart (rich) at 40 Psi Fuel... NOW its Got 14, 15 Psi with the FMIC and 36 PSI Fuel Off Spray...A/F was up And Did Go Lean For a Sec on Spray But The Mass Air Did pick it up and went Rich... I Will Have some Numbers this week.. That should clear up any Drama started with this Thread.... But I want to Pull timming and If the A/f is Good Then 400 WHP will be the Goal... I have a Wet kit to install and thats the Plan for this Week.... :D..

That's why I got on the Dyno Again.. Cars run different all the time...Once I felt the Change I went to the Shop to see what the deal was... If you think a set tune will work all the time your a fool.. I have allowed my ECU to make Changes for me.. If I feel somethings not right then I go to Check.. I've been right so far.. As far as being at a limit now YES I am.. I now need Other ways to make changes.. The ECU in my car has More maps then a Honda and will be able to correct to a Point, Unlike a Honda.. Its a Whole new Ball game now And I know this... Eric ask to post the Damn Sheet and I said OK... It is good Numbers but can be a lot Smoother, IMO... Bobby's AF's spiked at 14 for a second right when the nitrous hits, then went right back down to 12. Now this 50 shot is sprayed right into the Air filter so it still travels through the intake through the hot pipe, intercooler, cold pipe, the horrendous RB20 intake manifold into the combustion chambers. Also he's still running the stock 270's, and no fuel controller, yes not bright, but it works.
