u might not pass at all. If you can turn off or reset the light and keep it off for a few drive cycles, then u should be able to pass. If you had a 95 or older I could make u pass in an instant. try to find a local emissions place and ask them to CHECK it to see if it'll pass. It will be called an Operator Training. ask him if they can do it for you.

I'll be moving to Georgia next week from North Carolina. Do you have full inspections down there or how does that work? Where I live you have to have the car inspected every year with like 50 points or something. I'm pretty sure my car won't pass with a JDM engine wired OBD2-OBD1. I'll be moving to Griffin

Sorry to thread jack, I just don't know anything about Georgia

yea georgia has full emmission inspections in certain metro area counties.. years 95+ they check the light, your fuel, and ur ecu. for 94 n below dey just check the actual emissions i think.

The car will not pass if your running obd1 jumper harness. The way they do it here for 95-under cars they put it on a dyno so they can actually run it like its driven on the roads, check gas cap and if catalytic converter is present. And 96-newer obd2 cars they just plug it up to the comp to check for codes. Its very simple. There is always a way of passing...just got to find the right person.

I have a '96 prelude ECU, can't think of the code, but I used that to pass it. Of course this ECU was from a non-vtec model, but it was a sacrifice I guess. My fiance lives in Griffin, I've noticed that none of her family's cars have inspection stickers. Do you guys have inspection stickers in those certain metro-area counties?

No they dont put inspection stickers on vehicles anymore. Everything goes into the DMV's computer system.

Got one word man. Bribe..simple as that, lol. that's how alot of people get there highly pluuting and fast cars to pass, lol:D just find someone that will do it....that's the hard part ad it'll cost you a little bit of money but shouldn't be really high over 100 bucks....

Im guessing you have a 97 civic if so why did you put a obd1 ecu in there you can use a 96-98 obd2a and it will work. im kinda lost but there is way to make the ecus work I,ve put a 95 motor into a 96 car and made it pass with nothin wrong.

^^^^ i like that idea

How do you know when you have to have your car inspected? does the DOT send a letter in the mail saying its due or something?
