So I decided I wanted to get my daily driver up and perfect condition with AC

I managed to narrow the AC problem down to the compressor/clutch failing. I go pick up a new one yesterday so it could get here today. 385 dollars. Damn old cars cost a lot :( Ok, fine. Get the part today around noonish. I take around an hour in a hot as garage under a warm engine bay replacing the compressor. I fill it with oil, etc etc. The heat must have gotten to me and I realized I need to vacuum and evacuate the old R-12 system, and the rest is all she wrote. I say fuck renting the machine to do that at auto zone then screw around with it in my garage. I just take it to PepBoys, since I dont care anymore. So they are doing a leak test, and evacuation of the old stuff and recharging the entire system right now. Hopefully nothing else goes wrong, because thatll just screw my day over even more. Its costing me around an extra hundred to do all of this... :( Oh well Im leaving soon, and hopefully returning with a nice cool Z31.

R-12 is so much better than that new sh*t they use; R-31 or something. Instant cold while R-31 takes forever to cool off. D*mn environmentalists.

Cougar stays in the garage. Right now its undergoing some things.

If it was the Cougar, I can do anything from pulling the motor to installing a new tranny in my garage. That car I know inside and out.

The Z is a different story. I drive the Z everyday also and just recently 98 degrees in rush hour with no AC almost killed me the other day lol

just fyi its r134a.

Just FYI older cars like his Z31 use R12. R12 is quite a bit more expensive that R134A. The system can be converted to use R134A, but it isn't cheap.

Im selling the car. Its gonna cost more to get it fixed. Im just going to use the money I get for selling it to buy a WRX.

That's what I really want.

So yeah, in the next day you should see a perfectly running Z31 minue the AC with 135k original miles on it, for 1100.

to bad on the a/c though. And the r12/r134a conversions are not expensive at all. COMMON MISCONCEPTION! Went to buy a new f22 accord a/c comp. and the first two I put on were BAD! gotta love refurbished parts
