View Full Version : Whats this Prelude worth?

I bought my GF a new car and now I wanna sell her POS Prelude for whatever its worth, but its in rough shape and I know Nissans, not Hondas, so I dunno if there is a market or what. What do you guys think this car would be worth to a private buyer?

1992 H23 non-Vtec, Auto, black ext grey int, pretty much every idiot light is on (ABS, CEL, BRAKE, etc) interior clock doesnt work, car runs but overheated a few times and knocks now, prolly a spun bearing. Exterior is rough, peeling paint all over, dents, broken corner light. Interior is about a 5/10.

Just looking for ideas, I was offered $500 as it sits and Im tempted to just take it and forget she ever had it. I could do a swap in it for fairly cheap and fix some stuff, but I doubt I could ever get over $1500-2k for it with the state the body is in. Kinda not worth it IMHO

from the looks of it you could get any were from $1500 to $3000

How many miles are on it? I wouldn't expect much more than $1000 if there's more than 150k on it.

nah i think u can from 1500 up if its the si model and around 1000 if its base with decent milage (no more than 140xxx)

yea about 1500 to 2 grand is about the most your going to get out of it...
does that jug of water come with it??? if it does maby 1525k

i'd say clean it up inside and out, no BS cleaning i mean real cleaning (u may be able to get away w/ shampoo) and then tell him a price.. go to nada.com and get a starting price to work w/

with a bad engine and body in such a rough condition you will be lucky to get $1500. Good luck with it man.

honestly I wouldn't even want it... if it was a five speed I'd probly give you 500 but no more. Shit I would probly try to talk you down to 250
