If you have between $3000 $3500 to spend
what would you spend it on http://forums.importatlanta.com/images/smilies/confused.gif
either one would mainly be used as a DD
I'm more inclined to toyotas because I owned a few before..
but would not mind a Honda your honest opinions are apreciated
One is 1995 Civic Ex 179+miles stock engine, had timing belt done 2 or 3 years ago, h2o pump also, lightly modded, dynomated this is the only pic I could obtain now ... for $3500 obo
http://home.comcast.net/~f_rivera/My_Ride_2.jpg
or a 1987 GT-S also around 172+ miles, 2-WAY Lsd, and other mods It's being offered at $3500 but may be obo...

what are ur plans for either car? i like hondas bc theyre cheap and easy and good cars even though so far i ahve had nothing but bad experiences lol but those little corollas are fun as hell to drive and feel like go karts and RWD. i think theyre both good cars but it depends on the shape of each car and other stuff but it think ur good with either but those hachi rokus are bad ass and not every single person and their mom has one u know

too many miles for DD for either, but the honda is way overdue for some engine damage, especially if it's "lightly modified", which basicly means it was drivin into the friggin ground. i'de pass on both, and look for something that won't break down on you in 10k- miles, because you'll be doubling that sticker price fast. just my 2 pennies. save up a little more so you can buy something you want, or stick to something that you know you won't be moddifying. (or finance)

I hear ya Man.. I had a the very very first year model (Celica) Supra a '79 when they had the 4-ME's, then a Starlet not runing, then a 81 1.8T Corolla not for long, a piece of crap 88 Tercel.. yeah I'm old school  and a 05 Tacoma...well you get the point.. in between I had a 88 Conquest but never could get it to run properly so I sold it.. a 95 Millenia, a '86 Jimmy.. but had more contact with Toyotas// thanks for the input:D

well initial plans would be as daily driver..will not sink money into the car right away eventually...yes that's one of the reasons for thinking about the Honda parts off the wazzooo (sp)..sorry a bout the bad luck with Hondas..which ones have you had bad luck with? and yes I like the 'rolas for their fun factor and rarity especially in "good" condition..but parts are a bit harder to get and and it's hard to find them in good shape.... thanks for the input! http://forums.importatlanta.com/images/smilies/goodjob.gif

I agree, especially the Honda, for the Corolla it's well "acceptable" being 19 years old... but do you think I will have any luck finding one with less miles and not spend over $3k?? I do understand your point though thanks ! http://forums.importatlanta.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

that's true..krindus.. I do have a 1yo truck that I purchased last year so I don't want to spend more that $3500 and get in another payment plan... if that then I will have to sell the truck and buy something "better" I would like to have a shall we say semi beater? that car will be driven daily and hopefully one that I will not spend too much on repairs but rather try to make it better especially the Corolla. the civic seems to be in better shape... thanks for the http://forums.importatlanta.com/images/smilies/2cents.gif much appreciated..

For 3500, buy a civic shell and drop in a b16 for a spirited lil daily.

civic shell=1k-1500 roughly for a clean eg (IF you can find one)
GSR motor-3k
Install will prolly put you around 5k all together

for a daily, i honestly wouldnt do either...hell you coulda got my civic yesterday (95) for 1500 and not had any issues that those would have.
if i HAD to choose either as a daily, it would be the civic cause you prolly arent going to drift your daily all the time
