well you said it will fit on all 96-00 civics...i believe the length is different because the powersteering has to tap into the belt as well...but on the DX theres no powersteering...i'm not sure...correct me if i'm wrong but don't be an ass about it.

The timing belt goes into the water pump, crank shaft and tenssioner, p/s is not part of timing, look:
