if you are including paul n julio in a succesfull category, i dont know what your definition of succesful is.
Im not knocking them. they both do well for themselves. but i think bouit everyone else on the list is well into 6figures per yr.. which is what i would consider succesfull..
i dont think that i am there yet though,i mean i crushed 6 figures a few months ago this yr, but i have alot of outgoing expenses. i do not consider myself succesful yet, just tryin to get there..
i dont know hoo the most succesful person on here is.. I Would def not say jaime. Ive seen his numbers.. uhm....
the most succesfull person on here is chmura - klaud he is working on opening his third business and has really done well for himself through real estate and different business ventures.. seriosuly, one of the smartest indviduals i know..
another one is
ya2kcivic - yamil -- just his garage is amazing.. supras for days.. the fastes 3 around too.. plus another business man and realestae success story

I've been lucky, I have had a lot of help from my dad who owns a CPA firm and my grandfather who has been in the building business for 50 years. I wouldn't call myself successful quite yet but my standards for myself are different than others. We built 55 houses last year and my goal for this year is 75 then 125 the following year, If I can work up to about 200 a year then I will be happy.

Is hard to tell really.. Trihn is a dentist.. Big baller/alex/jaime/ruiner/ and so on and so on..
I Honestly think Alex is the most succesful or atleast most improved in lifestyle.. Alex used to work for Papa johns and went from rags to riches sorda speak.. so thats a huge improvement.
But is really hard to tell sometimes, because you never know.
For example BIG BALLER is cool as hell, if you see him, you wont know it..laid back.. and I have never seen his hair fixed. haha
Just curious.. there seems to be different definitions of success here (i.e What you drive, how much you make) Personally I've always seen success as someone who is completely happy with their life and I believe that reflects in how you present yourself and also how you treat people regardless of how much they have in the bank.. those who are successful dont have to be an ass all of the time or put up a front.
From posts I've seen or who I have met.. just off the top of my head would be Ruiner, Pharm Teg, B16a2 Civic, Admin. I know I'm overlooking a few and others I just havent met or havent paid attention to.

true i see what you mean, i appreciate ya mentioning me.
Being happy with your life is the ultimate sucess, i have bills, debt, but i dont let that shit stop me from doing me, at the end of the day, its money.
But i do know you got some big plans ( from what we was talkin about in the 401k thread) so no doubt i know you gonna be bankin

Yeah I agree.. Success isnt only the amount of money you got in the bank, its what all you have done to get you to where you are today. At least in my opinion.
I would like to consider myself successful sometimes.. I dont make but 30k a year, dont always have alot of money in the bank, but I do own my own car, provide for myself, pay the rent every month to keep a roof over my head and everyday I live another day of doing what I love to do at the end of the day I consider myself successful to be where i am to this day. Everything that has happened to get me where I am today other than my momma raising me, lol.. I have done on my own.
So in my opinion I wouldnt name names on who I think are successful cuase everyone has their own story and is successful in their own way. Im not saying its wrong to not consider someone successful cuase they make 6 figures, I'm just saying that is not how I would prefer to look at someone and whether or not I consider them successful...

I have assets that help me to be financially stable since modern day society demands that. No I will not get into what I have because it’s proven that disclosing your funds only brings about adversity (for the most part).
But that’s not even remotely what I consider successful. All materialistic goods are soooo superficial (I’m glad I learned that early in life) that if you rely on them for happiness you life will be unstable.
If you base your happiness on materials, there’s a great possibility that once you get that nice car, you’ll want more. Once you buy that nice house, you’ll want a bigger one. We tend to forget “where we came from” and what our “original” goals were. Instead, when we advance one level we compare ourselves to the level above us so there will always be a reason to “not like where I’m at”
We should really pay attention to the more IMPORTANT things like health, a loving/trusting relationship with family and friends, spouse/partner, a strong spiritual relationship with whatever you believe in (no need to make this topic head elsewhere). And when I say that I mean a genuine relationship of trust - most people don’t have that. Of course you’ll have to generate some form of income but…
It’s so common to get so consumed in work that by the time you’ve made it, you don’t even know who your real family and friends. Sure you’ve got the nice lavish materials but do you really have the ingredients that make you truly successful?
Look people, there’s a reason why Wealthy people are so depressed they end up on crack and in rehab or commit suicide etc. LOL
I think if we all we more observant in life you will make the right decisions that will help you to live as happy and successful as possible.
This message was paid for by the national…….

I was actually about to post the same thing. Success means different things to different people. To some it is how much money you have. To others, which I think is more important, it is how happy and healthy you are.
Myself? I feel like I am almost to the successful point in my career in life. I have a good, healthy marriage. I have 3 great, healthy children with one on the way. I have an awesome residence. My income, in about 2 weeks, is going to be right where I'd like it to be.
As far as success goes? I'm good. Later, QD.

My opinion on someone who has made it is someone who can drop some money on something and not worry about it for the next few months.
I mean like 2-3K on something, and it not phase them or stress them out, whether they are making it back or not. But then again this might be small time me talking those numbers.

Personally I think I side w/ the people here who says that "success" can not be directly tied w/ finances. I have a GANGSTA salary, as well as run 2 businesses. I still drive the cars that I WANT to drive. There is not a car that I could want that I can't afford to pay cash for... but that means nothing. I work w/ 6 figure (and not BARELY 6 figure, I mean DEEP into 6 figures) people everyday, and they are some of the most unhappy people I know at times. I know this b/c I am seemingly "Earths Counselor" and find myself w/ the only thing separating me from some1s HEART is a table or a telephone. This has taught me to NEVER look at some1 from the OUTSIDE and say "they have made it"... especially when I do dinner w/ them and they break down like powder --> the math does not add up. Sure, Forbes will not touch you for an interview if you are not financially secure... but also some of the happiest people I have seen work in the mailroom at my building and take the train to work b/c they have no choice. I think this was an AWESOME thread... but one that most people are not versed to debate. Even the people that "know" these "successful" people do not "know" them, unless they have been chosen and trusted to hear the "not so good" shit, like most of my friends/associates trust me with. I think a better topic would have been "Are you successful/ happy and why/why not? I think MUCH better answers would have flowed. The people that have seen my house, toys and smiles would likely post on here and say "Baby J got it together." But they only know what I have given them to know. There is always more. Just a small example --> the people that I left behind in Afghanistan and Baghdad who did not make it home, I feel like I failed them... and some of those people are the reason why I made it back. You can not see that when you see me goin overkill on simple things, picking up the tab when 20 of my friends go out, buying them cars when I know they are not gonna be able to pay me back on the schedule that they promise. There is always another side. To attempt to guage another mans happiness/sucess from the outside is never accurate. Not even close.

Not to be gloating or anything give me about 3 years and Ill join the ranks of the six digits. Yes I'll be only 23 but hey I just like doing business and doing other stuff. I never knew that parents were in the six figure till I was 18. And that was just from one business. The other one pulled in about a high five digit but I just love doing what my father does and it pretty fun.

Living : I think, if you have a happy/healthy life and dont sweat the small things and keep drama out of your life, enjoy what you do and appreciate what you have accomplish, Then you are ok.
Financially : If you have a good job or business (s) and value/appreciate your hard work put into something, have a nice savings/planning ahead (retirement ) and do not live week to week like some , I think you are ok.
I really wish I had the Patience of people like clark howard, that Mofo will not spend a dime on anything he don't believe in. I know alot of us have spend money on shit that we are like WTF did I just do, I know I have.
Once I buy a house, I will be set, I am really in no rush and know what Im loosing out of right now, But in a year 1 or 2 maybe even less then that, Im jumping into it.
Financially Im there, mentally not ready for the big responsibility yet.
Alot of people in this country, I have learned and seen, that fake the funk alot. Living week to week.. No food in the fridge, Max out credit cards, bills late, No future retirement plans or simply live of credit.. Nothing.. But drive a pimp car and people think right away, ah shit hommie you balling..

if we're talking about financially successful - then i can only think of a couple of people who haven't been mentioned: Dan (not a member here) and Romeo.
Both are in the $M's and daily drive old accords. They are both self made.

baby j made some good points and so did julio, because those are the last threads i've read, since i dont want to start from where i last posted at. but to me a measure of success isnt entirely based on money, though i know that money is tied to everything that can make personal life/love POSSIBLY better. a blue colar man like most of us here who goes from a 1 bedroom hole-in the wall w/roaches, craskhead and hoes living next door to a comfy home of his own, income that pays for it and a vehicle to make getting around easier prolly appreciates those things more than someone who's born wealthy, i was happy with my accomplishments i've made in my life and though i'm starting over again completely, i've never forgotten the things it took to get there. and i'm looking forward to the struggle it's gonna take to relive those accomplishments and much more. life w/o some adversity isnt living.

Life is what you make it.
As long as you can find away to do the things you enjoy then you will always be happy

Wow, I never assumed that success could be measured by a person's wealth. Give me the price on a father watching his baby girl blow bubbles. I know plenty of wealthy people who aren't successful, and vise versa. Its all about what you put your time and efforts into.....................just my two cents from a guy who loves to watch his girl blow bubbles, and her facial expression when daddy's car hits 10lbs.

J, all in all, im alot happier than i was a year ago, new truck, have a BEAUTIFUL baby boy that i would not trade for the world, and i get to see him grow up since i work from the house...
i could make a lil more doing what i do, but it would be a trade off of watching my boy grow up.. the forst years are the most important, and it is SOO true.
i am getting into the home/buisness automation thing with my brother now, so i have a few days gone outa the hose a week, but its not 5-6 days a week!
PS, if anyone need anything done let me know

2007 Update thread? :goodjob:
I try to make every year better than the last in all of my endeavors - in business and within my personal life.

That was a pretty good quote, good to see it again!
