i used to think it was funny many years ago when my dad would talk about how he'd rather have a split window corvette rather than one of thoose badass new Z06's(this is like 98) i'd be like "dad, are u crazy?" i allways thought that was just retarded that some one would want an older car over a new, more powerfull, and more advanced car. last weekend i was at a meet and a friend of a friend pulled up in his "new" ride. a 94 TT 300zx...i went ohhhhh, thats badass(its stock) i was talking to the guy and one of my younger friends heard me say that if i had a choice between a TT 300 or a 350z, both brand new, i'd would'nt think twice about taking the 300. IMO the 90-96 TT 300's are just kickass cars. fatory turbo so u don't have spend 6K for a greddy TT kit/turbonetics single turbo kit and they will react alot more to mods since they are boosted from the factory....that and it just was my dream car when i was younger. my dad had a 95 lemon yellow pearl 6 spd TT and that car was the shit. now what i'm getting to is just like my dad would rather have that oldass vette than a new Z06, i too now would take a 16 yr old(1990 TT) car over a new one. WTF? i might be getting old.

My dream car is the '06 Z06...and my friend asks me the other day..... the fastest car in the world or the z06, and without missing a beat i was like the fastest car in the world. Then sell it and buy my z06 and be happy as shit with prolly about 600k+ left over.

your comparing a legendary muscle car to a 300zx? lol... I'm from the same generation as you... but wow heh.. Anyways, I respect the "newer, faster, more advanced" cars also... but I'd still prefer a slower bad ass muscle car to a faster more comfortable new car.

u get what i'm saying dude, just like my dad i'd rather have the "older" car instead of the brand new one. don't get me wrong i grew up with my dad building chevy's and i have ALOT of respect for muscle cars, but i was'nt comparing the vette to the 300, i was comparing how my dad feels about the split window to how i feel about the 300.

I have loved the MKIV supras even before that god forsaken movie came out that made them to expensive for me to afford when I was shopping for a car this last time...I do agree...

My Fav 2 are the RX-7 TT and the Supra TT

the RX-7 is badass but its even more expensive than the supra in the long run cause of the rotary motor. the upkeep on thoose things are insane and not alot of people can work on a rotary motor so the people that can charge ALOT.

Ya I was about 10K off of being able to get one this go round...That WILL be the next car I own if this one says good for a while...

Ya the rotaries are a bear on up keep, that is one of the reasons why I didnt get one of those...

This is the reason im torn between getting a newer car or older one. Most of the new stuff out isn't turbo and doesn't appeal to me. Plus im all about getting something that is not so common nowadays *cough* S2k and 350z
