FS/WTT '93 Civic EG Hatch with full LS swap and GSR Leathers

'93 Honda Civic CX, clean Carfax and title, always a Florida car.


Chassis has about 148k, complete LS swap only has about 60k.

B18B1 engine and transmission out of a '96 Acura Integra LS. Block codes: 3338105 3001701

All necessary hoses, belts, plugs, wires, etc. were replaced.

New Honda Civic Si radiator and new heater core.

Recently installed racing clutch, 4 puck.

Short ram air intake.

2000 Acura Integra GSR leather seats, near mint condition.

2000 Acura Integra GSR half console as well.

Acura Integra LS rims, no dents, rubber is good all around.

Aftermarket fully adjustable coilovers, don't know brand.

Full custom exhaust system, no cats, no resonators, 2.5" pipe straight back from the down pipe, sounds nice, NOT loud or ricey.

Aftermarket brakes and brand new axles and motor mounts.

Projector HID lights, clear turns (missing pass side).

OEM fogs but driver's side is out, maybe a loose wire.

Mids, highs, 12" subs, and Kenwood 500watt amp can go with car. Headunit stays with me unless you want to kick in $200 extra.

Dash and doors are in EXCELLENT condition, must see to appreciate.

Vehicle is daily driven, and still driving. A/C will work if you swap hoses or remove everything if you don't want the a/c.

Body has two primered spots, rust is repaired, couple of small dents that can be pulled out and needs sanding before it's ready to paint.

Hell, call Mainstream and ask them what it costs. Call ANY reputable shop and find out what they charge. ok buddy, you want to open a can of worms....go ahead and post a list of all the shops with names and numbers, of shops that will do a full GSR swap with engine, tranny, axles, mounts, wired up, and everything for $2k. Just show me one that can do that and not use hot or illegal stuff and prove what you say. Yeah, you can do it all yourself but that isn't what we are talking about, is it? No, we aren't. So prove what you said...

Yeah, your motor may be better, but it is all what someone wants. Some people like 1.6, some like 1.8. Some like VTEC, some dont for turbo. I dont know exactly what your body work is going to be, I'd have to have an estimate from a shop to know for sure, so I cant talk about yours. I know my rears just need a sand and prime for painting. My front hasn't been hit so it doesn't need adjusting. It could use a $60 bumper. I could get one but that ain't gonna make it sell any faster. And a $12 corner lens isnt going to change anything either.

Yeah, there are a bunch of haters out there that dont have anything better to do but talk shit about things that they dont know anything about just to jack threads and get post points. there is no damage....on the sides, the primer was done to fix the rust in the quarters. This car has no accident damage, has a clean and clear carfax and clean title. It needs a $50 bumper, a $12 turn signal, and a paintjob you can do yourself for $50 or spend $300-400 at a Spray and Bake or Maaco.

I see people on here buying stock hatches and crx and others for $2500-3500. The last car I sold was a 95 EX coupe for $3500 and it was BONE STOCK with some wheels and tires for $3500. How in the heck can someone pass up ALL this car with all this stuff with it??? This confuses me.

man, totally unbelievable. I've seen a stock EG hatch go for $2500, another EG hatch with stock interior and a good paintjob but on a salvage and rebuilt title for $3600 and still another, nice looking EG hatch with a full LS swap like mine for $6000. Maybe I AM too low on my asking price?????

you dont often find GSR motors that cheap...thats a longblock too...on top of that, theres no warranty and things that most motor places do carry. Yes, you can buy a 1500 engine, they are out there, but few and far in between..since you used that as your example, why didnt you pull the thread from a while back going for $400 since you were really just trying to make a point? fact is, your point doesnt matter and if hellrazor is asking 10k for the car, its his car and since its not being parted, everyone needs to lay off with how much parts cost. plus, in this chassis, i would rather have a LS with 60k than a GSR thats been ragged out in VTEC every time someone gets a chance with 17k more miles on it...

those "warranties" are largely crank-up warranties only. anyway, its more than a longblock. only thing it's missing is the exhaust manifold which can be robbed from the ls you get the trans from as well.


anyway, I'm not bashing him on his price anymore. I said my piece about that and let it rest. I'm just replying because you guys asked to be shown a gsr for less than $2k and there's one right there that I looked all of 15 seconds for...and NO, i'm not gonna humor you by scouring for any more. :blah:

You are still forgetting the two key points:

A legitimate, complete swap from a business, not a buddy or a friend of a friend, or some joe blow off the net. How many horror stories have you heard or experienced yourself in buying something from someone you don't know, off of IA or Ebay or anywhere else? Plenty, I am sure. Remember, someone wouldnt be selling it super cheap without a good reason.

Another fact forgotten is labor. When I quoted $2k for a complete LS swap, that included the COMPLETE 60k LS engine and tranny and components....BRAND NEW axles and BRAND NEW mounts...(not some used ones that are already half dead) and all the required labor to pull the old stuff, install the new stuff, wire it up, test and tune it out to correct running condition. Yeah, you and your buddy could probably do it, but we aren't comparing street prices, reused parts, and backyard labor.

Finally, buying a complete legitimate engine setup from a REAL business that is going to install everything with brand new parts and it all comes with more than a crank warranty, and includes all labor, I still think $2k is an average price. MAINSTREAM charges over $3200 for the equal job for a GSR motor. OTher places charge comparable prices. Again, show me a REAL SHOP that does all what I had done for alot less. I'd really like to see that.

I just had the interior re-done in (almost) all black, it had a new Tough Country lift with new e-zRide shocks, Flowmaster, tinted windows, cd player, ice cold ac, fully loaded, new tranny at 130k jeep now had 170k runs like new, just tuned up plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil change, just put new axels in the front, new mickey thompson chassic lock wheels (black or chrome rings) power seats, 5.2 V8...

hey i got a 95 coupe i would trade if you were interested. it's a 95 dx coupe with 125k miles, front leathers, headers, straight pipe, fuel pressure regulator, intake, momo frame brace, accell 8mm wires, msd ignition, oldschool integra wheels, brand new tires all around, you can take whatevr you want off your hatch as long as you replace it with the stock stuff. my car just needs paint and a cat if you would want it to pass emmisions it also has a stage 2 exedy clutch and a lightened fly wheel. the motor is from a 98 dx coupe with 90k on it. no grinds no smoke. lmk

would need a cat to pass emmissions....dont have any here to worry about. The car came with factory a/c hoses for a 1.5L compressor....the LS came with the compressor but the 1.8L is not the same fittings. You would need to go to a hose shop and get new fitings or adapters to connect them. Call me if you are interested.
