Does anyone know Honda's really well? I ask because I have a odd question and need a answer from someone who knows Honda's ways really well.

Last year when I was showing at HIN, I paid to have power run to the civic, I brought a Battery Charger to hook the power to and unhooked the battery and hooked the charger to the cars terminals. But th ecar didnt get ANY power at all, We even swapped out the chargers thinking maybe one was bad. But I couldnt get power to run through the car that way.

Someone said they thought Honda had thier wiring done in a way that you cant run power that way, Is this true? If not what can be the reason I am not getting any power direct that way?

I am trying to figure this out before HIN in 3 weeks, Thanks.

Brett i am not + about this but i can question a few things here. Even though a battery charger can charge a battery i don't think it has the amp output to run your car. I think that is the reason why it takes a while to fully charge a battery. You should try something like an AC to DC converter with the amps to do what ever you want.

Good point, I dont use it to run the car though, Just give it juice for the undercar kit, Parking lights.... So its not much as far as amps go that it needs.......

this is not hard. I run to wires off the battery to the bottom of the car with a fork lift plug on the end and then i have a power supply (not battery charger) with the other end of the plug on it. I plug the power supply into the wall and then plug the power supply into my car and everything works perfect...keeps the battery charged and everything in my car works just fine

don't unhook the battery. no one cares really. the NCCA won't say anything about it. as for the power supply i stole it so i don't know where to get them and as for the plug i ordered it through hifi buys

^^ HA HA HA

Well if my battery is new ( Just a regular battery ) do you think for the 5 hours of the show I can run the under car kit and trunk neon?

If anything is it safe to use a charger but have it hooked to the battery the whole time so the battery keeps a charge while I run the stuff?

I had the under neons and 5 interior neons running for the entire show and didnt have a problem, granted the battery was 2 days old but you should be fine....if not i have jumpers in my car :D

for powering things like that "special" plug check Home Depot since they should carry something like that in the electrical department and ask them about ac to Dc converters so you can run the electrical in the vehicle/...
